happy for Lincoln, don't get my wrong, but come on....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Shep, I hope you get a show in Houston, almost as bad as the people in Minnesota with the posts on those two areas. And I get that you love Houston, But please, look at the size of the whole area, not just the city.

I kind of wish they would do a tour like normal bands. Two or three legs with 25-50 cities. It isn't. That hard. Paul McCartney is over 70 and he tours all the time virtually everywhere.

    so.... going to that link....

10 Houston metropolitan area Houston, Texas Houston-The Woodlands, TX Combined Statistical Area 6,371,677

134 Lincoln, Nebraska metropolitan area Lincoln, Nebraska Lincoln-Beatrice, NE Combined Statistical Area 332,148

doesn't make me understand any less...

unfortunately, you're all going to have to put up with me at least for another year +, cause ACL contractually prevents headliners from playing houston... so we won't be getting a show on this run.....

I agree with Shep, Houston needs a proper show. For the size of the city and its geographical location, all bands should stop here. We are on I-10 for god's sake! To be that close to Houston and not do a show, it is kind of ridiculous.

A bunch of places that have only got festivals or similar type shows deserve stand alone ones, Houston, Atlanta, New Orleans. Even Chicago.

I'm tripping here....I need better confirmation....I started getting calls yesterday when our local radio station here in Omaha,.. (dj must have slipped this info)... announced PJ at the new arena in Lincoln, Nebraska show in October....then another confirmed they said Oct 8th which fits with the whole ACLimits shows.... Damn, I'm hopeful...as its been 11yrs since they've been anywhere near us besides Kansas City,....we don't have millions + people but there's also nothing else to do here so we always fill our arena's when good bands come.... and with this being a new arena,...surely they may pay good as well....damn, I sure hope this is true as i'll get to see them with all my friends/family/cousins for once.... well besides my pj family I'm with at every other show....peace, Curly

I get it. The thing about artists like McCartney and Springsteen is that it is all about them and if they are fine touring 50 shows a year they do it. WIth Pearl Jam you have to convince 5 people to do it, which I think would be much more difficult. Sure, there are bands though like PJ that tour a whole more though than PJ. I don't think Ed's voice can handle big tours anymore.

I checked on the radio stations Facebook page yesterday that mentioned the show (I don't live in the area and didn't hear what was said. Just going off info from here) and someone posted a message asking for what date the show was...... I go back this morning to see if anyone responded and the post was deleted??

So thinking the DJ spilled some info before they were supposed too..

I'm pretty sure Family has a lot to do with it,...and I completely respect them for that....back in the late 90's early 2000's it was much easier to pull them bigger tours off... these spotty tours seemed to make more since for rock bands whom want a personal/family/ kids envolved life as well... imo... ... member...."if mom ain't happy, ain't no one happy".... ....currently this is simply a rumor and I feel like an ass for getting involved..especially since I haven't seen one shred of evidence that this is real.....I'd hate to jeopardize anything,...that said, I'm going to zip it until officially announced......Peace...

Anyone consider the presale happening AFTER the Euro tour? Didn't we do the presale last year right before Wrigley in July for the October touring? Just a thought.

I could see that. My thoughts were if dates started in September, the pre-sale would be in June. Just the reports of radio stations mentioning info this week thought they might start it earlier.

Hi Guys - I'm finally back. And so super stoked! I just received verification from Z92 that Pearl Jam will be performing at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE on Oct 8th. Public tickets go on sale on Friday, May 30th. Don't know when the 10C sale will be! But it would have to be soon, right? And, I don't have info on any other cities on the tour yet, but am trying to find out.

For those questioning the population, Omaha is a larger city than Lincoln, and is only about 40 miles away. I'd imagine between Omaha & Lincoln, there are close to 1 million folks.
