Local Oklahoma radio station played Betterman and then teased "Is PJ playing a show in Oklahoma this year? Stay tuned for more info" They would never randomly say something like that, so since OKC got their first show in 10 years in 2013, I'm calling a show at BOK center in Tulsa. Eddie has played in Tulsa at a smaller venue and I think he enjoyed the vibe enough to bless us Okies with a full on PJ show.

I don't think they've ever played Lincoln, and I know it's been about as long as 03 since they played in Omaha/CB. If they play in Des Moines I'd happily drive over that way too.

    That would be crazy!

So can someone who listens to the radio in Albuquerque tell me what kind of stupid teasing hints they've been giving the last couple days please??? :D

Pink Floyd announcement is probably the release date to Dave Gilmours solo album. Would be cool if Petty and Pearl Jam tour together for a few shows just like they did about 10 years ago.
    6/26/98 & 6/27/98 - Alpine Valley, 10/9/00 - Allstate Arena - Rosemont, IL 6/18/2003 - United Center, 5/16/2006 - United Center,
5/17/2006 - United Center (7th row center, caught Eddie's pick), 6/29/2006 - Summerfest with Tom Petty,
    8/24/2009 - United Center, 7/19/2013 - Wrigley Field, 10/3/2014 - St Louis, 10/17/2014 - Moline (GA), 10/20/2014 - Milwaukee,
    5/14/2015 - Pete Townshend/EV, 8/20/16 & 8/22/16 Wrigley Field Part 2&3, 8/18/18 & 8/20/18 Wrigley Parts 4 & 5, 9/18/2022 - St Louis
All Chicago Wrigley and United Center shows (not worth listing out )

I know this would never happen but I hope as a cruel/hilarious joke that Pearl Jam and Petty tour at the same time, but in Houston PJ opens for Petty a la 2006 and plays 17 songs, just because Shep doesn't complain enough on here.

I just don't think asking them to play a teeny, tiny market like Houston is that out of the question.

Besides, if I don't remind them... who will? pretty much the rest of the Houston crowd has just given up...

That being said, I'd happily go to the above show... i've never had the chance to see petty! :)
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I really think we're getting our hopes up. I can see the backlash when PJ announces three shows total.

    Any news, original poster?

They just said 5 days ago US dates are coming soon, you probably have another two weeks or so and then they will be out.
Yeah, but they only said some dates around ACL, nothing to suggest a large-scale tour. I'm expecting a couple of shows not anywhere that I can attend, and hoping to be wrong.

Couple of shows around ACL? Yeah no it will be more than that

That would be the opposite of cool.

Might be able to rule out Columbus. I emailed Nationwide Arena asking if any dates have been booked. "Thank you for inquiring about upcoming events here at Nationwide Arena! I have not heard any news about Pearl Jam coming to nationwide Arena as of yet." The Schott would be a possibility but I don't expect that. Hopeful for Cleveland and or Cincy.

OTOH, they may be a bit tighter-lipped around people and email addresses they don't know.

Won't 10C break the news here officially first?

Not necessarily. 10C has been a bit slow on such things recently...

Doubt we will hear anything today now. Pinnacle Arena said there would be a big announcement today and Petty is playing there. I would imagine if both PJ and Petty were announcing shows they would hint at two major announcements.

Petty is playing exactly 2 more shows than PJ did last fall, the same number if you add in Wrigley and London.
