104.1 the blaze here in Lincoln has announced that there will be a major concert announcement for Pinnacle Bank Arena sometime next week. Might be some truth to that Lincoln rumor?

I am getting so excited for the prospect of a midwest tour. I don't think I realized how long many of these cities have been denied, so for all of you in Des Moines, Denver, Minneapolis, Louisville, Lincoln, Toledo, etc…I really hope you all get your shows! Last year the best set lists seemed to have been from the smaller places like Charlottesville and Spokane, so let's hope that trend continues.

A few months after OKC? I don't know about that one. The guy that put Lubbock in his tour, now that would be a rarity. I don't really expect them to play ABQ again, but I REALLY don't expect them to ever play Lubbock again! They'd have to learn Everyday again!! It's true that the smaller scale/city/college town shows always do get a great show.

That wouldn't leave enough time for the 10C sale. That seems a little soon.

I dig it, but I would bet on 4-5 of those spots, rather than all seven. Chicago & Minny seem like shoe-in's. KC & StL follow their previous tour patterns. Wild cards are DM & LNK. Wouldn't rule out Omaha/Council Bluffs, with one of the 3 getting the pick.

If they announce early this week that is enough time for the presale. The Europe tour 10c presale was announced on 12/13 and you had five days and ticket winners were announced on the 18th and general on sale was 12/20. So it certainly can be done. I hope early this week we get the announcement.
Lincolns new arena has been bringing in big name bands since opening. Paul McCartney is playing Lincoln in August. So don't be surprised by PJ playing Lincoln.
A buddy of mine heard on Z92 today that Lincoln tickets go on sale May 30th.
If this is true, I'm guessing we get an announcement tomorrow or Tuesday. 10c tickets up the rest of the week, 10c results for ticket choices out on May 26/27.

happy for Lincoln, don't get my wrong, but come on....
Please PJ play Houston, for the love of God!
Shep, I hope you get a show in Houston, almost as bad as the people in Minnesota with the posts on those two areas. And I get that you love Houston, But please, look at the size of the whole area, not just the city.
I kind of wish they would do a tour like normal bands. Two or three legs with 25-50 cities. It isn't. That hard. Paul McCartney is over 70 and he tours all the time virtually everywhere.

doesn't make me understand any less...
unfortunately, you're all going to have to put up with me at least for another year +, cause ACL contractually prevents headliners from playing houston... so we won't be getting a show on this run.....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
I kind of wish they would do a tour like normal bands. Two or three legs with 25-50 cities. It isn't. That hard. Paul McCartney is over 70 and he tours all the time virtually everywhere.
I agree with Shep, Houston needs a proper show. For the size of the city and its geographical location, all bands should stop here. We are on I-10 for god's sake! To be that close to Houston and not do a show, it is kind of ridiculous.
I'm tripping here....I need better confirmation....I started getting calls yesterday when our local radio station here in Omaha,.. (dj must have slipped this info)... announced PJ at the new arena in Lincoln, Nebraska show in October....then another confirmed they said Oct 8th which fits with the whole ACLimits shows.... Damn, I'm hopeful...as its been 11yrs since they've been anywhere near us besides Kansas City,....we don't have millions + people but there's also nothing else to do here so we always fill our arena's when good bands come.... and with this being a new arena,...surely they may pay good as well....damn, I sure hope this is true as i'll get to see them with all my friends/family/cousins for once.... well besides my pj family I'm with at every other show....peace, Curly

I get it. The thing about artists like McCartney and Springsteen is that it is all about them and if they are fine touring 50 shows a year they do it. WIth Pearl Jam you have to convince 5 people to do it, which I think would be much more difficult. Sure, there are bands though like PJ that tour a whole more though than PJ. I don't think Ed's voice can handle big tours anymore.
