I know Cincy and Louisville have a lot of chatter but man was the last show in Columbus killer. Come visit us again boys, you won't be sorry.
Much better than the 03 show! (I totally missed the 2000 show, so I'll take reviews of that one from the crowd.)
I got jipped in 03, still lived in WV, had time off for the Cincy show, gets flooded obviously, and I couldn't return for C-bus that..it was a Monday I believe? So bummed. Did catch em in Lexington but wanted more so bad. I'd say it's too early for their return to the Capitol city but if we're all dreamin shy not? I'll travel but gettin hitched this year means the less I travel the better. Wonder how long we'll be waiting on this announcement...
I'm thinking the announcement will be between May 27th and June 20th, but most likely in June.
If you look at their visits to Columbus, we had three in the early 90s (when they were hitting up the college towns and the small clubs), then 2000, 2003..., a long wait, and then 2010. If they stick to the "twice or so every ten year" plan, I'd rather have the visits spaced out. Besides, we missed avocado tour, but then got it in spades in 2010. Maybe we'll miss Lightning Bolt but then get a ton of LB songs during album 11 tour!

I'll be pretty shocked if they hit us this time but with this band, who the hell knows. We make educated guesses based on what they've done before, but you just never know.

I think the dates will be separate from a newsletter. Why wait if the information is ready? I don't believe they waited for the newsletter for the Fall tour.
I agree. I think the tour dates will be separate from the newsletter. I also think that we will get the dates in time so the lottery window is done before people travel for the euro tour.

I think it's safe to think the pre sale and public sale will occur before the Euro Tour begins. If they wait until June 10 for the announcement, there wouldn't be enough time.

I really think we're getting our hopes up. I can see the backlash when PJ announces three shows total.
Any news, original poster?
They just said 5 days ago US dates are coming soon, you probably have another two weeks or so and then they will be out.
Yeah, but they only said some dates around ACL, nothing to suggest a large-scale tour. I'm expecting a couple of shows not anywhere that I can attend, and hoping to be wrong.

A PJ tour is 12-15 shows these days, the large 40+ show days are long gone and have been for a decade. We already know 2 of the dates. My guess is you can expect 10-12 more.
