Well, they say a picture is worth more than a thousand words. So...hedonist said:
Idris, your time immersed (for lack of a better term) in that environment was nicely-described. Sounds lovely and serene, and like it did you good (despite that shack - I think it would've given me the heebie-jeebies).
(let's see if I can post these photos)
So these few images are from Google Satellite, It's part of the area I walked/trekked.
These two below is where the waters come together, it was quite fantastic sitting in this area. Great feeling.
and....The Klan Shack
and at one point, the area just opened up, sun hitting the land just so right, So I got a pic of myself.0 -
Ah, that last one! Very pretty and peaceful.
You know how on Single Video Theory, Ed talks about giving way to nature? I think we'd all be a whole lot better off if we did that on a regular basis - even if only within.0 -

happy friday, folks! this is definitely needed after this week0
-
Yo norm!
Been a long week, but a good one. My husband just started working for the folks who own VCA (animal hospitals) - some of their employees BRING THEIR DOGS TO WORK. And they have a pool table in the breakroom.
I'm envious of and so fucking happy for him
You have a good one there. I'm gonna join you on a generous pour - supplemented by an expertly-packed bowl!
(ps - Baldwin looks a lot like Puddy)0 -
I had plans for Friday night! ...but a storm knocking trees around and taking power lines down pretty much wrecked those plans. Oh well, it was only my Thursday anyway. Tonight, however...

I hope everything is alright there Brian! Did you lose power?brianlux said:I had plans for Friday night! ...but a storm knocking trees around and taking power lines down pretty much wrecked those plans. Oh well, it was only my Thursday anyway. Tonight, however...

Are the recent storms helping alleviate some of the drought conditions?
By the way, once again, I have the non-alcoholic induced post weekend hangover haha... we tried to pack in too much this weekend. I'm wiped out and trying to get some work done, so maybe instead I'll just ride the Train's Lounge car all day.
(Ok, it wasnt completely non-alcoholic. There was rum.)
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -
We did lose power, Jonny. (Or I should say, I did. C. was away visiting daughter-in-law.) Now I've got candle wax imbedded in the table cloth and on the floor. Duh... use candle holders, dummy! At least I didn't burn the house down.JonnyPistachio said:

Every drop of rain helps but we're still in drought over-all.
Wish I could hang out here longer myself but busy days ahead.
Have a great week Jonny, everybody!

To you too, Senor P! And to our fellow travelers...
This chick decided to take off from work a couple hours early to get a headstart on some much-needed chill time.

Hump day has started! Just three more to go until the weekend. Is this here lounge car hooked to a music car or is there a piana and a stage tucked in the cornah? Gonna need a good ol' hootaninny this weekend right here next.
