I know you are all going to say you want the whole band (so do I obviously) but I'm really hoping for some east coast EV solo shows at some point also. Just a couple plz?

If there is a fall tour (September or October again), we are probably weeks if not months away from an announcement. Most likely in July just like last year.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
I guess I remember wrong. I swear I remember people saying it wasn't soldout - the lawn that is.

Why do people think there will be shows in the fall, not August? Matt said he was skipping Soundgarden because of prior commitments with PJ (and spend time with his family), so it would make sense if there was some scheduling conflicts with their tours.
I do agree though that we won't get more than 3 months notice for shows, especially if it's only one leg. I had my hopes up when Rich Russo posted the email about Future Days/tour dates coming soon, but it seems awfully quiet for rumors of holds on venues.

I think Matt's quote was that he wanted to spend more time with his family. So, perhaps he did not want to tour for a month with Soundgarden and for two months with PJ. I don't think that the timing of tours (ie: if they overlapped) matters as much in that respect.
I still wouldn't be shocked if they started a US tour in August. Mid August would still give them a full month off after Europe, which is plenty of time. That being said, I could see them anchoring a tour around a festival, such as ACL, which would impact the timing as well.
All is very quiet on the rumour front (so unlikely to be an April 10 announcement), but if there are August dates coming, they could be announced May 10. And if it is a fall tour, as someone else pointed out, we may not hear about the dates until June or July.

They should play two nights each at the Gorge, Red Rocks and Alpine, just for demands sake.
So all we need are two nights in the east and we've covered the whole country!
Works for me, 2 nights at Jones Beach, and let's throw in 2 nights at Molson Amphitheatre and 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl, and 2 nights at (I cant remember that place in Texas). Sprinkle in some 10c shows and a couple of regular venues too. It would be like...a tour...or something.
I would assume that they definitely would not have anything going on in August because their kids are out of school and they'll want to do some family stuff before September. I really really want them to play at the Gorge in September! Or that could maybe happen in August, since it's so close to home anyway.... not that August would work for me. :( Plus, it's too damn hot there in August.

Anywhere, as long as MN gets a date in the 2014 calendar year.
well, that's not really anywhere, now is it?
In fact, that's kind of the complete opposite of anywhere... it's one specific place you want them to come to.
I still find it kind of hard to believe you you drop a new record, tour for a month - take christmas off, go down under for a month, and then don't play anywhere until you head to Europe for the summer...
And that your tour doesn't include two of the biggest cities in the country... i.e. Chicago and Houston...
but then again, i guess that explains why I'm hanging around here less and less...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

That's my thinking. In my whole history following the band I don't recall them doing a decently sized north american tour two years in a row. Maybe we'd get 1 north american leg with some festivals and locations they didn't play last year?

Shep, Just goes with success and age. Thinking after playing "Alive" 6000 times it probably gets old. So see em when you can. Looking forward to seeing J White "Downtown Houston" in few weeks.
