Pearl Jam Fantasy: Australia 2014 – (closed)
In an effort to tone down the negative-ness and ‘hating’ about the new forum (yes, I am guilty of it too) I wanted to do something fun.
Similar to the previous Fantasy League, (run by MayDay10), but DIFFERENT RULES., read below:
Rules/Details:
1. Unlimited Teams
2. Roster of 6 Songs per Team. No draft, everyone picks your own top 6 songs. Overlaps will happen, that’s cool. Post them below with your tiebreaker guess!
3. 12 teams per ‘conference’ assigned based on order of entrance post. (Conferences don’t mean anything to the game, just an easier way to organize it.) (Unless someone wants to pledge a prize for their conference winner, that’s cool.)
4. Tiebreaker: Pick the number of songs that PJ will be played on the Australian Leg.
5. Scoring: A song starts out with 0 Points. If it gets played, the song earns 7 points. Each time the song is played, it loses a point.
Scoring Example:
- If you have "Brain of J", and it gets played once, then not for the rest of the tour, it will be worth 7 points.
- If you pick "Fatal" and it doesnt get played, it earns 0.
- If you have "Do The Evolution" and it gets played at every show, it would end up with 1 point.
6. Objective: Pick 6 songs that will only be played once during the Australian 2014 leg.
7. Person/Team with the most points after the 6 Australia BDO shows win.
8. Songs are the song by title. For example, Slow Lukin = Lukin
9. "Tags" DO NOT COUNT. A tag is defined as a song that is partially played during/before/after another song. List of tags (but not limited to this list):
Modern Girl, Save It For Later, We Belong Together, Interstellar Overdrive, Little Wing, WMA, Another Brick in the Wall, Highway to Hell, etc. If you are unsure if a song/tag counts or doesn’t count, ASK or DON’T PICK IT. If someone asks about a song /tag and I determine it counts as a song after you have submitted your roster, you cannot change to that song, you should have asked before you submitted your roster.
10. Songs that are usually listed with a “/” COUNT as long as the entire song is played. Example list but not limited to: Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, Yellow Ledbetter/The Star Spangled Banner, etc. These songs count separately and can both be picked individually (Not together). If you are unsure if a song/tag counts or doesn’t count, ASK or DON’T PICK IT. If someone asks about a song /tag and I determine it counts as a song after you have submitted your roster, you cannot change to that song, you should have asked before you submitted your roster.
11. PRIZE: Overall Winner (Column ‘P’ of the ‘Standings’ tab on the score sheet) gets their choice of any Item $30-or-under from the 10 club SHOP shipped to them from me. If you want to throw in a prize to make the pot bigger message me!
12. The 2013 Fall Tour Fantasy league was awesome. I know it’s a slightly different format but hopefully this will keep this awesome community going while the bugs in the new site are fixed.
13. Entries will be accepted until 6:00pm EST on Thursday January, 16th 2014 (day before the tour starts.)
