RockBand 3 Pro.. vertical scrolling tabs doesn't translate well to actually memorizing the song.
Agreed they need a lot more PJ songs. As a newbie guitar player, I enjoy Rocksmith immensely. It has greatly helped me so far. The 2014 version has a much better interface than the original, unfortunately you have to pay $10 to have all your songs from the first version switched over. The ones that came with the original and the ones you have already downloaded.
Anyway, yes more PJ would be nice.

For those who wonder if its worth the cost, it is. You can attempt a song which will adjust difficulty within the current song, then it will give feedback on your performance. Then it will give suggestions to "lessons" which are tutorials with a play and repeat after. There are also old school Atari/arcade games that are centered around guitar lessons. It is tiring but fun. I have learned a lot in 6 days. If I complete this whole game I should be able to do what I always wanted with guitar, play and jam. It won't make me an accomplished musician but I will know the guitar and how to play. Greatest $50 I spent, ever (got it on sale)
I too bought the PJ songpack and was disappointed that they only had Alive, Jeremy, Black. I never thought Black was a difficult song but it is a fugging finger breaker, which only confirms that Stone Gossard is the fugging MAN.
So yes Rocksmith great, but the ability to tap deeper into artists catalogue instead of just radio hits would be awesome. Who doesn't want to learn Nothing as it Seems, or Satans Bed?
And my oldest has played it twice

Thanks for that!
Edit: I just tried it and by far probably one of the easiest songs.

I just picked up Band Fuse, but haven't been able to spend a lot of time with it yet. I thought I already knew how to play Alive on guitar but the first time through it on the game I felt like I knew nothing. Part of it was cause I was trying on a lower difficulty so it only has you playing about half of the notes. It has a learning section where it breaks the song into smaller parts and lets you loop through at lower speeds until you get it. Overall I like the interface more than Rocksmith as it is more of a tablature style than the odd 3d vertical scrolling notes. Each song will still take time though cause it's not like you can just jump in and read the scrolling notes as fast as they come.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. At $59.99 Bandfuse is a bit pricey but I may have to go for it. I just can't get used to the Rocksmith 3D vertical interface it's weird. I like left to right tabs, which I have read for years.
