I made some drawings with soft pastel crayons, about the way water is flowing. I like to share them with you.

Also I like to hear your feedback on my work.

Also I like to hear your feedback on my work.

The water is still flowing and I am still drawing...
The water slowly reveals what it hides beneath.Post edited by Aafke on

OK, I was so stupid to do some housekeeping in my Photobucket, Replaced all my pics, so I could find them back easier. When I looked on this site ... and what a surprise all my pics where gone...Aaarrrrgggghhh. I tried to replace them all, but it could be that some water drawings have by accident be replaced or posted on a different place. But on the upside, if I remembered the right pic I could easily find it in my Photobucket. And I posted a Lot new pics there, so soon I will post them somewhere on this site.
One about water, in a different state.
Ice

Your paintings are sweet! MIGHT I suggest something to add to your variety?
Create a painting where the colors are drastically different than what you're comfortable using.
Create a painting where the water is farther away as these are mostly close-ups. (again, this is just to add variety. I think you're artwork is spectacular personally)
Incorporate shading
Incorporate plant life
REPORT BACK AT ONCE!
Good luck; it's really great stuff you've posted here.Vancouver '03, Paramount Theatre '05, Saskatoon '05, Calgary '05, Edmonton '05, Saskatoon '11, Calgary '11, Calgary '13

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll think about how to use it... But this work is just a small aspect of my work. I started with posting this work because it is quite neutral by subject. Maybe I go trough with this subject but I am not sure yet. These aren't painting by the way but soft pastel drawings, maybe I have to experiment with this subject in paint... we'll see.
But first an other pic of Ice.Post edited by Aafke on

Ice
The flowing stops
Water transforms
Is becoming cold and stiff
No more rushing by
Looking so cold and hard
But fragile
Easily broken
Shattered all around
Pieces twinkle in the lowering sunlight

An other drop of water on this cold and wet December day...
Sunlight reflecting on the water... How do I desire that right now.
