I love this! Don't ever lose that curiosity! Keep studying things around you! I get stuck in subjects all the time, ( hence there's fifty horse sketches to every other style of pic in my portfolio), but I am trying to expand that! I am inspired by your work!! Please keep sharing with us!
Thanks whispering hands for such great compliment. Lately I've been very busy, with my work and my health. Therefor there was not much time left for making visual works, or writing, or even posting stuff, such as a proper respond, on this board. But with the holiday season, work has slightly calmed down, for a week, so I get time for all those other things. So I looked up your horse sketches, and they look great.
My visual artwork doesn't show you the scenery around me, but are simply the images which I carry around in my head. Making visual art gives me the opportunity to stay in touch with myself an my own feelings. The things I can't talk about or share with words, I share in my artwork. Because in my case pictures tell more than a thousand words...
Water has since many years been a theme in my work, trying to make the water stream in a image, has since a long time been my primary subject, I think, because I have the feeling that my life has become stuck, for so many times, maybe if I can let the water flow again, I'm also capable to get my own life flowing again.
The photo's are mostly taken on holiday trips, and some around my neighborhood.
So here is an other work I've recently finished.

it is gorgeous. i'd love to have a cabin there in the summer, but I don't think i could deal with the long dark winters. nor do i hunt or fish so there's nothing to do other than camping or hitting the cute lil shops on the boardwalk. my sis & family live 1hr & 45m away so they go quite often. don't think i could live in such an isolated place with only 5,000 peeps, the closest town is 1 & 1/2 hrs away...and Anchorage is a 4 & 1/4 hr drive.
