Is anyone bothered about this?
Doesn't seem to be any buzz for this what so ever

I'm planning on going but haven't got a ticket yet and don't plan on buying one for the foreseeable future as I can't see it selling out.

Yeah, the sales for this is flat as hell. Possibly over reached themselves with 65,000 capacity. I went to see muse at wembley Stadium and the friday i went, the stadium was half empty.

problem is Monty Python has taken over the O2 for most of the month!
    Wembley Arena seems free though.

they won't sell out Milton Keynes unless there's other big bands added to the bill (and even then!).

I'm not going, too bloody expensive!

I HATE Wembley arena so thank god thats not happening.
To be fair this show will be a slow burner until the full line up is announced.

I already called Soundgarden and TOTD about 2 weeks ago.
If that happens then I'll be so stoked

TOTD?? nah, though that'd be good.
if they add Soundgarden and another band I like, I might reconsider going.. maybe..

Is it true that 10c members will have access to an inner circle infront of the stage? If so then I am gutted - I ordered my ticket through Ticketmaster as I only wanted one ticket. No friends were willing splash £75

I'm happy for this show and I'll be honest, I couldn't care less if it sells out or not. End of tour show, it'll be immense.

Fear it will go the way of Soundgarden in Hyde Park a couple of years ago when ticket prices dropped to £20 during the week of the show. Picked up 4 at that price and just went along for Iggy Pop and Soundgarden - turned out to be quite good value really, but rather embarrassing for the band playing to only a quarter full audience.

I saw Pearl Jam at Hyde Park a few years ago and it was something like 55 pounds (plus 5-6 pounds travelling). They are now charging 75, plus much more to get to MIlton Keynes.

When Soundgarden played Hyde Park the ticket prices were halved a few weeks before the date (by ticketmaster), I guess because of poor sales. I'm hoping that will happen with Pearl Jam or I can get cheap tickets from a tout off of ebay cause of low demand.

I've been to Milton Keynes a couple times and can't imagine how 10c would have any special area. Its basically like a festival.

They often have a separate pit (quite big). Usually for the first however many turn up - they get a wristband.

I'm going with my husband and I'm really looking forward to it.

My hubby couldn't get tickets for Glastonbury this year (he's been twice before), so at least he has this one day mini "festival" for 2014.

Friends of ours saw the Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes and had a great time.

I think the problem is that, although Pearl Jam is a big band internationally, I don't think they're that well known amongst the general public in the UK the way the Foo Fighters are.

I've often wondered why this is and just put it down to the fact that the early 1990's was a particularly creative time in music in the UK as well as the States, so radio stations were busy playing British stuff and bypassed many American bands of that era (apart from Nirvana).

Anyone on the fence with this one I urge to book tickets for the following reasons:

MK Bowl has best sound for an outside venue I have ever been to.
Last show of the tour - normally these are special
This is not a festival therefore no reason why they will play short hits only set
    Will be other bands on
This is PJ people, so what if you are going to Leeds, this set will be different - don't miss any opportunity to see this amazing band live
Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it

Can't believe the people having a downer on this place, when the Foos played it a few yrs ago it was epic, admittedly the Foos are/were a bigger band commercially but the fact it's the last night of the tour is surely reason enough to go ?? Got 10c tickets for it so hopefully wristbands for the inner pit will be available

Bit gutted about only one Leeds show though..oh well :?

  • Personally I think thye've over estimated their popularity in the UK. I think they have no chance of selling out MK, not even close really. Also £70+ for a ticket is fucking expensive. Any casual fans are gonna be reluctant to pay that kind of money. They need some very popular bands as support to drive sales up. I can see them cancelling the second Leeds show but I hope not. The arena looks amazing.

  • It would have been cool if this gig was at The Emerites stadium rather than MK bowl... Quite a few concerts have been held at the Emerites over last few years, Bruce, Muse, Coldplay, Stone Roses, etc

Obviously there's no football in the UK that time of year so the venue should have been available and this venue is so easy to get to from all over, I believe there's trains that run all the way from Glasgow, Newcastle, York, Leeds, straight to Finsbury park.. Finsbury park also being one stop from Kings Cross and on the london underground.

Not to mention what a great venue it is (I'm a Arsenal fan if you can't already tell)..

Having been to Milton Keynes for couple of gigs in the past I'll be giving this one a miss, especially at that price.. Rather take the trip to San Siro...

Friday night... last night of the tour.... if they only have a couple of support bands it has the potential to a long setlist... a historically significant music venue... A chance of Neil Young turning up... the show has the potential to be EPIC! :D

  • i got ten club tics for this because i would be hoping for an inner circle for 10c, i probaby should have waited.
the italian shows look great, but milton keynes is ab open air venue which suits pj best, and its the last of the tour.
also this one is kind of the irish show as well, and other countries with no gig announced, france, spain, portugal, may gravitate towards this one. the guys are getting older and have kids n' all, they probably don't want a 20+ city tour, being on the road day after day takes a toll. this way the band play less gigs, better gigs, we travel to see them. still a bit disapointed that they didn't have an irish date

anyway its pearl jam in a field, i don't see whats disapointing about that
