I've been here.. it's about 65k people, all GA. 10c will get early entry, but you will have another 50,000 people trying to sneak up on you once they get in. I might hit this show, but not even trying for 10C tickets. I'd rather hang half way back and relax for this one.
It's pretty solid for what it is. The stage is a year round fixture so the places actually sounds decent for how big and open it is unlike most park, festival, or stadium temp setups.
There may be a 10c pit with the rest of GA behind. Or it just maybe a free for all!

I'm the only one that finds funny that "Milton Friedman + John Maynard Keynes" = Milton Keynes?

Completely unrelated, but a interesting none the less.
Def getting tix to this one, as it looks like I can take a train up there from London and back that evening! Will have seen KoL there a few weeks before! Can't wait for summer!
I'm planning a greece vacation that week prior to this date and im trying to get the wife to fly us back home to LA from London. Can I find a train to get me back to london that night or early the next morning? How much does that normally cost? Any help and info would be greatly appreciated.
You can't see actual fares that far in advance, but it looks like there will be a train headed back to London at 12:34 AM and another just before 4am. Probably cost around £15-£20.
Go to trainline.co.uk to see times and fares. As I said, won't show July, but you can get an idea of the regular Friday scheules.
The MK Bowl is one massive amphitheatre, with large grass banking all around (it's so big in the summer they have cycle races around the perimeter).
I think they will have a "golden circle" early entry for the 10C ticket allocation (as they did for the Foo Fighters there two years ago) and there will be another big support act, in fact it will probably be a one day mini festival with several bands playing throughout the day much like Hyde Park Calling, which will go some way into justifying the ticket price.
But I wouldn't fret if you don't get 10C tickets for this one because the bowl is a great place to just sit on the grass bankings (much like Alpine Valley & PJ20) and chill-out listening to your favourite band!!!

Sounds awesome! Makes the ticket price seem bit more reasonable! Think lil euroupe trip.. Amsterdam to Milan then m Keynes in july :P can't wait!!!!!!!!
Sometimes people put up walls, not to keep others out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

Left hand drive plus roundabout= ok, right hand drive + round about= ok...but right hand drive + round about= Americans causing accidents...European Vacation...
Thinking about doing the Milton Keynes show or perhaps Rock Werchter....thoughts?
How far from the stage would one be at this show? Hard to tell from the pics.
Would be great if there were a separate 10c GA but not clear if that will happen...
Of course the stage is big, so you're further away than at a normal arena show. Not as bad as most festivals though.
Regarding 10c GA pit - I've only been there for Foo Fighters, which do not have a fan club, but they distributed front pit tickets to the people who were there early (about 2 hours before doors), so there was a fenced off front pit. I'd assume 10c GA early entry gets into that front pit first. With the wristband you could also then leave and come back into the front area as you liked.
And if you need a hotel in MK, make sure to book soon. There's not that many places, we had to stay in Luton last time as MK was full.

This would be nice, but knowing the huge layout of this place, I really don't think so...would be nice to know before the lotto closes though.
