I hope Lollapalooza Chicago 2014 is a possibility. It's been 7 years since they've done it.
No offense, but I hope not. This would mean that we probably would not get a proper Chicago show in 2014.
For that reason (combined with the Wrigley show this year) I would be surprised if the band did Lolla. I could see them possibly doing ACL if they tour in the fall, but not Lolla.

Lots of markets were missed in the fall (Cleveland, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Tampa, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Toronto, Montreal, etc.), so there are definitely enough potential tour stops to justify it (and that's not even factoring in potential appearances at the major festivals).
Personally, I'm hoping for a Santa Barbara Bowl date.
Any thoughts on this? How likely does another eight-to-ten week North American tour leg materialize in the spring or summer of 2014, and which cities do you think they'll hit up if it comes to fruition?
I would be down for a Santa Barbara Bowl show later next year.

I can't believe I'm going to say this:
They should take a page out of <ahem> Billy Joel's tour book.
Yes, that felt weird to type.
Anyway, play a night at MSG each month until they no longer sell out the place. Joel so far is into July. So Pearl Jam could go until, when, 2025?
Dude, NO. I spent half an hour on ticketmaster trying to get tickets for the May show on Saturday to no avail. Also if PJ has an identity with any town the way Billy Joel does with NYC, that town would be Seattle, which is on the wrong coast!

There's a lot of posts on the first page I agree with.
The European summer festivals are practically a lock. Somewhere along the way, I heard "US dates early 2014." Where?? I have no clue where, but I could probably guess cities from any one of Cleveland/Detroit/Cincinnati/Indianapolis/Kansas City/Denver/St. Louis....and a few other stops along the way.
No, they won't be going to the south, New England, Philly, NY, etc... Ok... I would be extremely shocked if they did Philly or NY, but you never know...probably not, though.
Chicago? That's the wild card. Yes, they just played Chicago, but it wasn't an official Lightning Bolt tour stop.
Somewhere along the way, there was a map of the US with a big circle in the middle saying "No Tour For You." Basically, anywhere inside that circle is eligible.

The Santa Barbara Bowl is one of the best venues in the country. Outdoor, right on the coast, and intimate (4,600 capacity).
I'm very hopeful a 2014 date there happens, but I would honestly be very shocked if it materializes given the fact that their tour has entirely consisted of large indoor arenas thus far.
I think if they do tour on the west coast again they will have at least one date in SoCal. Here's hoping it's at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
