Seattle 2nd encore

Out of a majority of the shows this tour, I'd say the Seattle 2nd encore is very weak. Last 3 kick out the jams, eruption, and Ledbetter? Wow....I'm sure it was a amazing show and all but damn...Main set was sick though. Thoughts?

The best show is often in the least expected place. Although I still think Brooklyn 2 is one of the best of this tour. Something about NYC that brings out the best in them!

I wasn't there but I don't agree. It was long and pretty unique with some more rare and out of place tunes.
I'd always prefer that to the "typical" second encore staples.
Vancouver and Hartford were epic. Seattle was good, but personally Vancouver was much more fun for me!
Portland and BC were awesome because the crowd demanded it...Seattle crowd, again, was pitiful.
How they do not embrace the home town band like NJ does for bruce or even lame ass bon jovi.
Ny for billy joel the list goes on....
It's ok...Philly has accepted the band as their own

But by playing 3 1/2 hours you're going to wear down the casual fan who you've tried to buoy with your 10 most popular songs. I've seen the casual fans lose interest right around mid 1st encore at all four shows I've been to.
Listen, last night was incredible. Best Garden I've seen, and they played In My Tree straight. Let Me Sleep was so unexpected, obviously. However, I think that some of the energy that leaves the room can be attributed to the band trying to please everybody. I'm not saying they need to play insanely rare songs at every show. Just blend in some songs a little more and don't play 90% of the hits at every show. This band has shown that they can pull out anything at just about any time, so why not play these more:
Insignificance
Grievance
Save You
Love Boat Captain
Who You Are
Red Mosquito
Around the Bend
Severed Hand
Marker In the Sand
Parachutes
Get Right
You Are
My Father's Son (I'm just bitter I didn't see this )
Amongst the Waves
Immortality
Satan's Bed
WMA
For example. I know some people will call me spoiled and flame this. That's slightly misplaced. I'm not saying I don't love their shows, because I do. I'm saying that there is a HUGE group of fans who've been there for 20+ years who love their whole catalog and the band should have more confidence in the music they've made. These songs I listed above are good enough that even the casual fan would enjoy them live.
Couldn't agree with you more!!!!! I wasn't at Hartford but agree with you on the Vancouver show!!!
