Hearing about the "rail" is now the most annoying thing to hear from these fans.
Its kind of entertaining !0 -

why hasnt pj/venue security stepped in to do something about these idiots? If you leave the line, you should have to go to the back once you return
Human behavior is fascinating to observe when it comes to these shows. You see some truly bizarre stuff.0 -
I saw a guy swinging his toddler around like a baseball bat knocking people away to get to the front of the mob.0

Or do baseball players swing their bats like they're toddlers at a PJ show?
Ditch the numbering system and just friggin lineup. Let the line police itself. When you put somebody with no authority in charge, you're asking for trouble. If somebody that I hadnt seen all day showed up and flashed a number on their hand, thinking they were gonna just pop into line, I'd laugh in their face.0 -

I don't think it would be a lot of work for 10C to organize the GA process.
I've said before...I would absolutely freak out if I waited in line all day and then had 30 people show up before the doors open to get in line. To me that is line jumping and should get them kicked out of the place.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

1) you're a fool if you wait all day in line to get into a GA show
2) there are no rules or priority for GA. Just b/c you chose to freeze your ass off does not mean someone else has to respect it. Its a GA show
3) Nobody is above an ass whipping, if somebody is extremely rude or pissed drunk, punch em !0 -

I'm done trying to figure out the best strategy to get a piece of the rail. I had the very end of the rail at one show and that was actually quite awesome.
I am sure they do. Isn't that the reason for non GA shows ( pre this tour) they put in the 1st and 2nd row lottery? Now mostly it seems parts of the 1st and 2nd row are the same people from show to show , they are just getting there a different way ( list people, sidewalk people, people who follow the band all over the place). I believe at one of the Brooklyn shows EV made mention of recognizing people down front.0 -

bathroom breaks are perfectly understandable, and like you said just as long as your ticket buddy sticks around on line, there should be no problem. its the leaving all day and coming back "im entitled to stand in front of where you have been standing all day just because i have a bumber on my hand" attitude that is complete bs. These people sound like such animalsPost edited by jimbojones1138 onit's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...0 -

1) That's how it works
2) Yes, there are rules. GA <> anarchy

bring back reserved seating. obviously pearl jam fans aren't mature enough to handle standing in line to earn their spot where they desire once in the venue.0

my friend and I got #17 and 18 at 9am in OK city...
we came back at 515pm and kinda non chelont made our way past the 100+ people to the front of the line...
it was pure luck and I got the rail between ed and stone... was my 14th show since 95' and I'm pretty sure it will be my one and only time ever being that close...
I'm so thankful of the Number system but did hear a lot of people noting they knew nothing about it...
and quite frankly,... I was amazed they even let us up to the front before the doors opened...
granite we were being extremely friendly,...but if people would have said "no way, back of the line"...
I would have gone to the back and not been upset at all...
the internet has so much good to offer, but just as much bad as well and evil as well...
so for people not "in the know" or don't live "on line" I give them much respect....
and the end of the day,... I think I have to agree with the first come first serve policy...
specially when tix are sold....someday I hope it goes back to half the tickets are printed up and sold at the venue in a first come first serve on a particular Saturday morning......that would be a dream though...
I read other's and keep an open mind on this....as I can totally see both sides also...0 -
We showed up around 2:45 and there were about 20 people actually waiting but 80 on the list. We didn't want to deal with it, came back right at 6:30 as the doors opened and I ended up just to the right of eddie with about 4 people in front of me (maybe 2 or 3 by the first encore as the crowd shuffled a bit). It was a really good spot so I don't regret not dealing with the number lineup/bs.. lol.0

Every morning after a show, I come here expecting to read about the first Pearl Jam GA line stabbing.0

So basically some people take pride in getting their name on 'the list', taking off all day and coming back at show time.
This is why I people watch on here and Facebook... I take note on who I will never share a spare GA ticket with...0 -
"General Admission Lineup Organization"
Talk about an oxymoron!
You guys can keep GA. Put me near the soundboard. Every venue sounds best standing next to the guy who is controlling the sound.0
