How life has changed. 40 plus years ago I saw a lot of interesting things at shows- cameras, bottles of Jack Daniels smuggled in under coats, a wildly decorated chanting stick (at a Hendrix concert- the guy beat the floor with it while screaming chants the whole show) hookas and bongs, Frisbees, hairspray, a white electric guitar (at a Who concert- a guy had the crowd pass it up to Pete for him to smash- Pete threw it up in the air a few times and passed it back) but I never, ever saw a baby at a rock concert. (But then I didn't make it to Woodstock. )

I am not a parent, so admittedly I am a little ignorant on some of these issues. However, I don't understand how bringing the baby is better economically. What is more expensive, a babysitter or the price of a GA admission?

And if you were to tell me that the baby got in free, then that means there was an active decision on the part of the ticket checkers to allow the baby in as a "babies get in free" policy.

As a non-parent, a lot of this does not add up. Most importantly, why don't you just leave the baby at home? If a couple's priorities are so out of whack that both parents would rather see the show than ensure the baby's safety, I really don't know what to say.

I see babies in fancy restaurants all the time lately where in the past people used to get babysitters or not go to those places. May be related somehow.
I seriously doubt a ticket was bought for the baby. Yes, it is likely that the people at the door just let her in...

Posted policy at the venue was children under 2 didn't need a ticket. That applies for everything so that makes more sense.

The band should do a bunch of small club shows that would at least filter these nutty parents from doing assnine things with their infants ...

that would be awesome, but how would that filter the nutbag parents?
did you see me? i saw you.

That is insane! Babies and young children certainly don't belong at a PJ concert.

Ed should have had the mother ejected, like that person in LA! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rt4jXuErEc

Yeah, just because I am now known for being against kids at concerts in general and being the OP of this thread, it was assumed that I was lying about any infant being in GA.

Who would even want to hold a baby standing up for 3+ hours?!?! After holding my kids when we go shopping I'm spent...little fuckers get heavy after a while!
Hey kid, enjoy your life long tinnitus induced by your idiot parent.
