So for the 1st time in my life, I let my wife talk me in to going to a few stores, after dinner Thursday night. Ill say one thing...It was quite interesting.... All of the people who actually were at the stores early enough to take advantage of the electronic deals, were happier than a pig in shit. Everybody else seemed to just be trashing the stores, and making asses out of themselves.:lol::lol::lol: My wife was happy I bought her a Fitbit. Some silly gadget that measures steps taken, calories burned, blah blah blah.

For myself?
My BIG Black Friday purchase?

I bought 4 cans of soup.

:P
Take me piece by piece.....

Crowds are thin at the store I'm at. I guess not many other people needed tires.

Yeah, I'd rather pay full price than deal with all the maniacs who go out shopping that night. Especially in cold weather areas….people stand outside in the cold for hours just to get a deal on a TV. Crazy.

I used to go every year, my friend would drive out to long island where there are big parking lots and all the stores are kinda spread out on one really really long block. There's a walmart, bestbuy, and staples all next to each other. It's HILARIOUS. We went for the entertainment value, but I would usually end up getting something small like a hard drive, maybe some RAM. I only did a "doorbuster" once, and it wasn't a hot item, it's a monitor. It was a good price, but I got it sorta by accident, we just happened to wind up in front of Staples like 20 minutes before they opened, and there was only 2 or 3 people on line, so I went for it since i (thought i) really needed a new monitor.

you can get some good deals but i don't think it's fun if you're going "for the deals" I always had fun cuz I was with 2 of my best friends hanging out, cracking jokes, drinking coffee and b.s.-ing while witnessing some of the worst of humanity in action. Good times.

This is the first year I haven't gone in ages.

We heard at about 7 last night that our local Wal Mart had already kicked 17 people out of the store.

Sad really. We get together on thanksgiving and give thanks for everything we have. Then we run out and beat the snot out of people to save a few bucks on things we don't really need.

Only thing I bought today was the Mad Season 7" from here.

I'm not a big fan of 7" vinyl but I miss out on all the limited stuff here all the time. It's usually because they put it out in the middle of the month and I get my VA benefits on the first.

You could not pay me to be part of, let alone witness firsthand, such a fuckery.

    Protests and people fighting? Crowds?

    Nope and nope.

Couldn't ask for a more perfect day-after here in Los Angeles.

It's raining, we're staying in, Bach and Willie and PJ and Cash playing for us, leftovers to indulge in, and on.

And a little later on today, I am going to come here and give everyone my opinion on Black Friday, and the people I am watching here on the internet fighting over T.V/s and tablets. Because calling these people pieces of shit, is just the beginning.

I'm just waiting for the year they move it up to the Friday before Thanksgiving. I mean, it's getting fucking ridiculous. First it was stores open at 6am on Friday. You know, that's fine. People can eat, watch football, & get some sleep before the big shopping blitz. But then they bumped it up to midnight. Now they're opening on the night of Thanksgiving. For fuck's sake! Can't the greedy, corporate, big box assfucks just let us have Thanksgiving in peace?

Oh I don't. I avoid it at all costs. It just ticks me off that everyone around me is freaking out about it when I'm trying to relax and eat a damn good meal that I look forward to.
