Going to the Portland and Seattle shows, and this thread is now tempting me to try to make Spokane too.
Any chance on hitching a ride from Portland to Spokane and back to Portland? I'm taking an Amtrak from Portland to Seattle later in the week. I could pitch in for gas or perhaps offer a poster from my collection. I'd just be traveling solo.
I'm driving back to Portland after Spokane.
Are you interested in a travel buddy? Totally willing to chip in on funds!!
Just dumped 6" at Stevens today, they predict 18" tonight/tomorrow.
Not gonna rely on that as a predictor...but the ski resorts are itching to open by Turkey Day.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
Looks like I may be late to the party but...there's 2 in my party, have tickets to both shows, never been to the Pacific NW. Plan was to drive to Spokane, halfway after Portland then finish it Saturday to ensure a decent arrival time. OR just leave early Saturday. Not sure exact drive time from city to city but mapquest indicates just over 6 hours.
We a 're open to sharing to keep costs down.
If they put together a set list like in SD, that be great.
Lastly, New to using the Forum so I'm hoping I'm doing this right.

...HEAVY SNOWFALL IS POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS BEGINNING LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT OR SUNDAY...
...A CHANGE TO MUCH COLDER WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGHOUT WESTERN
WASHINGTON SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK...
WEATHER FORECAST MODELS ARE SHOWING A BIG CHANGE IN THE WEATHER
PATTERN STARTING SATURDAY NIGHT OR EARLY SUNDAY AND CONTINUING
THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK.
A STRONG PACIFIC FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THE BIGGEST IMPACT OF THIS STORM WILL
BE IN THE MOUNTAINS. SNOW LEVELS AROUND 5000 FEET LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT OR EARLY SUNDAY WILL RAPIDLY FALL TO BELOW 2000 FEET BY
SUNDAY EVENING AND TO BELOW 500 FEET LATE SUNDAY NIGHT. SNOWFALL
AMOUNTS IN THE PASSES WILL LIKELY BE QUITE HEAVY. SATURDAY WILL BE
A MUCH BETTER TRAVEL DAY THROUGH THE PASSES THAN SUNDAY.
A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR MASS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE YUKON
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY THEN DROP SOUTHWARD INTO BRITISH
COLUMBIA LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. THERE IS AN INCREASINGLY GOOD
CHANCE THAT SOME OF THIS COLD AIR WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN
WASHINGTON ON MONDAY.
DETAILS ARE DIFFICULT TO PINPOINT AS WE ARE STILL DAYS OUT FROM
THIS POTENTIAL EVENT. BUT WITH THIS TYPE OF SYSTEM...IT IS LIKELY
THAT THERE WILL BE SOME LOWLAND SNOW WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE
MODIFIED ARCTIC COLD FRONT. IT ALSO APPEARS LIKELY THAT IT WILL GET
QUITE WINDY IN THE NORTH INTERIOR...ESPECIALLY AROUND THE SAN
JUANS AND IN THE LOWER FRASER VALLEY AROUND BELLINGHAM. IT MAY
STAY BELOW FREEZING FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER MONDAY. LOWLAND
SNOW...IF IT OCCURS...MAY GIVE DICEY TRAVEL ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
WESTERN WASHINGTON LOWLANDS MONDAY.
FORECASTS ARE LIKELY TO CHANGE AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE EVENT FOR
LATER THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. EVERYONE SHOULD CLOSELY
MONITOR LATEST FORECASTS.

Basically it should be OK, but could get a little hairy in the passes especially leaving from the Spokane show to Seattle or Canada.
Latest update was that there are some icy spots near moses lake. It could also snow for the show tomorrow night! Hopefully it starts after everyone has arrived safely.
Heard Snoqualmie pass closed Sunday night, hope everybody made it over early enough to not get stuck.
Just got back last night...after a 5 hour ride from Spokane, I was so happy to be getting home around 1:30pm...then I find out they put de-icer on the bridge, and it was closed because it made it too slippy and a bunch of cars spun out and crashed into the jersey barrier.
Another hour in the car trying to drive around...
