The best thing happened today.
I lost my Vitalogy cd about 2 years ago and haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. I've got the case but no cd. Leigh has said many times that he'll just order me a knew one through the shop but I want my original cd that I got probably on the release date....not some new reprint.
For the last week we've been cleaning the house thoroughly and about 2 days ago I finally admitted to myself that Vitalogy may not be coming back. :(
Then Leigh opened Nick Cave, Abattoir Blues today and VOILA!!! There she is! All scratched and fucked from so many years of abuse but she's STILL MINE!!! I love my PJ cds!★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★
★ 2009 - Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch ★
★ 2011 - EV Newcastle, Melbourne 1, Melbourne 2 ★0 -

No, it was pretty boring actually. Didn't find anything good or fun....didn't find any money...nothing except Vitalogy. No complaints though! I've looked everywhere for that bloody cd!!!!
And I have just now become aware that my Pearl Jam cd is not in it's case! For frig's sake! Is it THAT hard to put a cd back in the correct case?★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★

So wheres the Nick Cave cd then??..............:p0 -

There were two cds in the one case luckily....I think we need to load all our music onto our computer and put all our cds into storage. They're getting ruined by dickheads not putting them back in their case and you'd be amazed at how many cds aren't in print anymore. That's a big job though!
We probably have 400+cds at present. Does anyone have a really good cd storage unit they use? I've never been able to find a good one that can fit hundreds of cds.★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★

damn right, but how many times do you pull out a cd, play it for however long you're in the mood for it, feel like the next cd, and put the old cd in the new case thinking 'i'll change it back tomorrow' BUT YA NEVER DO :eek:wah0 -

any news on a possible time for re-opening?
They are talking about shifting temporarily to the City Hall or to Princes wharf number 1 on the Wharf thats a big shed..........
But tonight they were saying they are going to pull down the facade starting tomorrow morning at 7.....:( Its such a shame cos its Heritage listed.......:(
I wish they didnt have to pull that down.....I went all teary when I heard that.
The whole inside is just completely gutted nothing but the 4 walls.
I think the other part of Myer on Murray Steet is all still intact cos its a seperate building.
300 ppl work there but they have been told they will still be paid..:)
I went to the city to see.......but u couldnt get close the cbd block was completely closed and then the streets around the block as well.
I stood in Bathurst street the street behind Liverpool st and u could see the whole facade from there....it was so sad.....
It was very busy with ppl in the City......but it was very quiet and sombre there....
On the facade it had all been burned back and u could read Brownell's on the facade, that was the orignal shop there......
I feel sorry for all the shops in that street and the adjoining ones as well as they all have been damaged by smoke and water and I guess they all will have to be closed for the clean up and demolition of Myer. Im sure it will all be removed then a new building built.
Sorry for the long rant. There are only 3 large department stores in the cbd Myer being the largest then Harris Scarfe and then Target so its a huge loss to the CBD of Hobart and the economy....0 -

Cost me about $50 Maximum. And I guess right now it has about 500 CDs on it and still a shitload of room for more (4 shelves in total)he who forgets will be destined to remember0 -
