Willie Nelson, with my parents, late 70's I think. First concert with friends was The Pretenders in the early 80's.

surprised there wasn't more mentions of raffi and rosenshantz...ha!

raffi was my first concert. my parents took me...then rosenshantz. i was around 10 when my mom took me to see miss saigon and later phantom. didn't see a "real" concert until i was 14. went with my older bro to see LIVE at blossom music center in Cleveland. quite epic during their throwing copper tour.

Loverboy with Quarterflash opening, spring of '82, I think. I was 11 years old and tagged along with my sister and her friends. I had a crush on Rindy Ross. My parents took me to a few country concerts after that: Oak Ridge Boys and Freddie Fender to name a few. First real rock concert was Monsters of Rock in '88 at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane, WA. Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica and Kingdom Come. Great show from start to finish!

Grateful Dead @ Madison Square Garden - October 19, 1994

i'm pretty sure that ended up being their last ever show at MSG...with Jerry Garcia, at least

also the first and LAST time i did, uh, that thing very much associated with the Grateful Dead...

Pink Floyd @ The Pontiac Silverdome 1994

First time they played Darkside in it's entirety in 17 years.. Later, they played it in London as featured on the "Pulse" album..

It was like going skydiving first and then expecting a simple roller coaster to give you the same feeling..

It was Woodstock 99 in Rome, NY. I was 7 and we only stayed for Red Hot Chili Peppers but had to leave because it was getting extremely violent. I don't remember it much but the one thing I do remember is Flea being naked.

Bryan Adams - Maple Leaf Gardens 1996.

barely remember the show... was neat to be at a concert but ultimately wasn't that good.

My one and only time to enter the Gardens though so that's cool :)

Tina turner SPAC 8/12/1984. Seriously. I was 4. What I remember was really good. ;)

I remember being 12 and seeing MC Hammer on 5/10/1992... Hilariously awesome.

Then I saw PJ at Randall's Island when I was 16 for the No Code Tour. The obsession was 4 years deep already and would eventually cost me 1000's of dollars. Oh well.... Embarrassing passion sometimes for a 33 year old man but there's worse things you can do I feel!
I'm like an opening band for your mom.
