So,

To help pass on some good fortune and the generosity of members on this board I would like to help another 10 Clubber out with the Charlotte Poster!

I am going to do a drawing and will post the winner on November 8th. - - I woul like to limit the contest entrants to fans that were at the Charlotte show and DID NOT get a poster, or fans who really wanted to be at the Charlotte show but for whatever reason couldnt make it.

Tell us why you should get the Charlotte Poster (story, anecdote, plea, etc.), and choose a number b/w 1 and 1000

I will use a random number generator to select the winner.

Thank you for all that you give us Pearl Jam!

I had planned to fly out to the show but lost my job and didn't make the trek. I have been putting together a very nice poster collection and love this print. I also am not a "flipper" and you'll never see this on eBait!

    My number is: 525

    Thanks for the opportunity!

I was there...got to the outside merch tent around 5pm and they were out. Got to the show a little late and figured I'd snag one on the way out but to no avail. Lucky for all of us who were there though, we got a great show and the live debut of Getaway to boot!

Thanks so much for the chance!!! It's a great looking print

Well, I flew in from Canada for Charlottesville and Charlotte.... Got stiffed by someone who was going to take my extra charlottesville pair and was out the $160. Then got in late to Charlotte the next day and merch tent was sold out. Tried both of the merch stands inside but they were also sold out. To top it all off, I then forgot my Charlottesville poster at the hotel.... They said they will mail it to me, but I will believe it when I see it.

Thanks for the generous offer.... My number: 117

I took my 6 month pregnant wife to the show, so I consider this the first time my soon to be born daughter heard Pearl Jam live. I thought I got to my hometown show early enough to get a poster, but was wrong. Would love to get one to mark the occasion. Thanks for the chance. Number is 723.

    My story is unlike another.

As a 10 Club member since 1996 I submitted for six shows and only got one: (An issue that I think 10 Club needs to address, but that is another story).

Charlottesville would require the most effort and funds as it was the show furthest from my home. I would have to travel 1,000 miles round trip. Not so far for some, but for me it is 1,000 miles.

Not being able to trust my own car to make the trip, I would have to rent a car, travel alone and drive down an back within a 36 hour period. Leave Monday night, arrive Tuesday morning. Sleep in the car, see the show and drive back after the show - having to be back home by the morning.

    It was the Long Road!

IF I WIN, PLEASE GIVE IT TO THE GENTLEMAN AND HIS WIFE WITH THEIR SOON-TO-BE, as he said, "To mark the occasion"!

My number, of course is 10.

I traveled from Minneapolis to Auburn, AL and then drove from there to Charlotte to see the show. I have some family in Auburn so i planned my visit around the PJ show after getting lucky enough to win a pair of GA tickets in the lottery. It was my first PJ show and will definitely not be my last. I was really hoping to make it to Wrigley but was unable to find a decent priced ticket. I woke up early the morning of the show and started driving towards chicago from minneapolis hoping to find a ticket on the way but was unable to find any for less than ~$400 so I turned around after driving almost halfway there. I was planning on picking up a poster in Charlotte but got delayed by a big accident on the way and didn't make it to the arena until about 8:00. Thankfully I made it in before the show started but all the posters were sold out by then. The charlotte poster would look great next to my Ed solo poster from 2011. Thanks for setting up this contest. PJ fans are the best. My number is 333

Thank you, sir. You are a kind soul.
My story isn't very exciting... I was in section 116... rocking out the whole night. Mike came over and gave us some love so I think he might have noticed the energy and love coming from our section. I am so happy to get to see PJ in my own state again. the 9 year wait was worth it.

In terms of how i missed out on the poster... I had to wait for my sister to drive up from ATL, hence why i chose reserved over GA. When we got to the merch stands, all the Charlotte specific merch was GONE :( ... I also took a couple of guys that hadn't seen PJ in 15 years. We all had a blast. great rare songs, some of the most passionate performance of others(Present Tense, Given to Fly) that I had seen in a long time and we get the first playing of Getaway. I know it is easy for us long time fans to get jaded about setlists scratches/length etc but I told myself I am not going to complain. Seeing the excitement in my friends faces when they saw their great seats- it made it all the more exciting for me.

I would like to thank all the fans that came out and represented in that giant space, the BAND, Ten Club and the OP for offering this for all of us that missed out. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the kindness hgpjam11 and jm44978. And my wife wanted to make sure I correct my previous post. She is 7 months pregnant, not 6. I was very impressed with her as she only sat down to rest for a couple of songs. :D

For my wife because we spent too much going to Wrigley and she couldn't go to her hometown show!

She wants to frame it and put it up in the house. This Is a first that she actually wants to get one framed. I need to strike while the iron is hot!

Very cool of you to offer this on the board! I've got family in Apex with a newborn we haven't had a chance to meet yet and was really hoping to make it down there to visit and catch this show. Unfortunately, work has been busy, so it didn't work out and OKC will be my only show this tour. I really love the print and would proudly hang it on our wall. Thanks for the chance and I'm hoping good karma comes your way!

On my way to the show from Florida I got a call that my two-year-old son was bitten by our dog. Fortunately it wasn't too bad, so I didn't have to turn around. But I spent a lot of time on the phone with my wife before the show and missed out on a poster. Still had a great time, but I was happy to get home!

First, thank you for the opportunity.
My sob story is common amongst the PJ poster collectors: arrived in Charlotte to get to the tent when the last poster sold four people in front of me. Great. Once inside the arena, i had a friend at one merch tent, I was at another... rule is get two posters if you make it to the front in time. As i get the text that he literally got the last clip-pocked poster (leaving me without) ...the girl in front of me got the last one at my chosen merch table. What are the odds of that? Story of my life.

Was fortunate enough to get to C'ville early and witness the concert of my life but didn't have such great luck in Charlotte. Getting called into work last minute and having a sick travel partner made it impossible for me to make the show. You would know that it was the sickest poster of the tour (aside from maybe Pittsburgh) and I didn't have a chance to even get a look at it. At least I was at C'ville (will be my only show of the tour). Thanks so much for offering this. Good luck to all :)

I'm a Huge PJ fan but the wife didnt know much about them. Having lost my father before really knowing him I can relate to Eddie. Songs like "Release" really touch me. I just love the story of the band and this is one of the reasons why I wanted my wife to learn about PJ. Once I bought our tickets in July I set her vehicle's radio to Pearl Jam on Sirius and she has not turned it. We both watched the PJ 20 DVD several times. We have a 8 month old boy and this was our first time away from him. Most of the day she is a little depressed missing the boy but by the time we made it to Charlotte she is excited. After standing in the merchandise line forever we didn't get our poster but we did get some bad ass shirts. She had a blast and so did I. She said the most amazing thing was the crowd interaction with the band. I think I have her hooked!

I have been searching for that poster online but I refuse to pay those jerks on Ebay!!

Anyways I would love to have the poster and frame it for the wife...maybe make it a Christmas present if I can hold out that long...

Thank you for giving us a chance at the poster. Love the story about the pregnant wife. Congrats bro!!

OK, I wasn't actually there but my wife was and she got right down front. Eddie threw the cork from his wine bottle to her and she'd like to have it framed it along with the poster from the show.

    Only one problem: no poster.

I tried to get one for her when the signed/numbered ones went on sale Wednesday but they were sold out within 30 seconds or so.
