Having lived in Charlottesville I can tell you that its not such a bad place

But if you want some truly good beer head about 40 minutes south and west to Devils Backbone brewery

I seem to recall a 2 beer per person limit for Dave Matthews shows I have been to there..... and a 2 beer limit really really sucks. Although if you are smart, you tell the lady "marking" your wrist band that you are having one, and then when you get to the guy selling it, you order 2. Worked for my buddy at least.

I will add to the debate that I specifically chose to go to Charlottesville from Canada cause I have always enjoyed the arts scene there and really really enjoy the town. I've never had a hard time or been hassled there. And being Canadian, it is generally assumed that even if I was a conservative Canadian, I would still be considered more liberal than an American democrat.... and it's never taken long for people in various bars to figure out that I'm Canadian. Eh. lol

What are some good methods for getting a flask through the door?

Assuming security doesn't strip search you at the door, just put it in your waistband in the small of your back. Or if it is one of those real small flasks, stick it down in your sock. Finally if security is looking really tight....just stick it down in your shorts. At Wrigley the security was a joke, I just put it in my pocket. No problems.

If you're female, I always tuck a miniature of good tequila between my boobs ...
    Goes well with beer.

Did we figure this out yet? Are they only selling 2 beers?

Also, for someone who goes in fairly early, can you describe how thoroughly they frisk please.

I've been in Charlottesville since yesterday. Awesome town! We're having a blast and I can't wait for tonight. First proper PJ show in 4 years (I don't count Music Midtown).

I have to agree about Bodo's bagels. Had a bacon egg & cheese on an everything bagel this morning and it was insanely good. Right up there with NYC bagels in fact. And they had it ready in like 30 seconds. Definitely stopping there on the way out tomorrow morning.
