Short people with great 10 Club numbers: can you see??

Hi there, a kind soul with a very good 10 Club number is helping me out with tix for a show. In reading some threads on which numbers get seated where, I'm realizing that reserved seating isn't necessarily up on the sides (which I assumed), it's on the floor behind GA as well. So question for short fans, if you were seated behind GA section on the floor, how far back were you and could you see the show??

I'm thrilled no matter what for this show and these seats, just want to modify my expectations so I'm not surprised if it's more like a close view of the tops of the bands' heads or just great music with a great view of fans' backs (which I've seen plenty of, so it is what it is).

Short people, please report in! :D

I've seen and read the current threads about fan club numbers and seats, but anyone with a number less than 100XXX who can comment on where their seats were and - if short - could they see? Still can't figure out if the first place the 10Club fills in the reserved seats is on the floor or on the sides...

    Anyone know?

I've been in for many years. lost count, but i beleive it's more thatn 15. 189xxx

Philly 1 - i had row 4 in FL 2 ( basically center stage) directly behind the end of GA/Pit. As i posted elsewhere, I'm 6'3" so I fully enjoyed the seats (always dream of being closer, but I can't complain). On the otherhand, my wife stands only 5'4" so she really couldn't see anything unless viewing the video boards. felt bad for her missing a really great visiual show.

I'm shorter than your wife, and that's exactly what I'm afraid of....

I assume the tix are pulled already by the time you arrive to pick them up? Or does a 10Club staff person pull them when you show up to pick them up? Just wondering if there's any room to request (read: beg!) for side seats, although what I hope for is secondary to what my show partner wants, since they are his seats and it's his 10 Club number...

I'm sure I'll be grateful for whatever I get, but I'm pretty worried about this little issue of "actually seeing the show"...
  • I was 5 rows from the back on the floor last night in Philly .. I'm 6'2" but unfortunately I had some equally tall fellows in front of me. My son is a bit shorter so I kept switching with him trying to get him a better view. I was a bit disappointed we were on the floor (I was at Brooklyn 1 with 10c seats also but was lower level in the back with a much clearer view). The video screens do help. We still had a great time as everyone around us was really cool.
Easy left me a long time ago.

  • I am # 142,xxx I was in the 2nd row behind GA for NY2 I had a limited view. My views this tour are not very good it sucks i'm only 5 feet tall, I really wish I was on the sides but no luck was in GA for worcester and bf had floor w/ his tc # so i've been pretty screwed. I mean I am grateful to be at teh shows but being veritically challenged is tough. i miss the old way they did seating but what can you do, maybe i will be luckier in my next 4 shows.

In my opinion, if the person has a number lower than 100,000, then you will 100% be on the sides. My boyfriend has membership # of 154xxx and I am hoping for wing seats as well.

10 club said that they will start on the wings I do believe. That was stated in a thread quite a while ago.

Thank you, this has me hopeful!!!

And for everyone who was too short/had too many people in front of you, I feel your pain, I really do! When buying tix through ticketnasty or anyone else, I am obsessive about looking for good side seats, because I know there's no way I'll see much otherwise.

Ah well, it's mostly out of my control but thanks for giving me a little bit of hope with the last 2 comments!

I'm 6'0, have a ten club number less than 100,000, and I can't see them at all.

That also might be because they are playing 100s of miles away from Denver...

The tickets are already sorted and put in envelopes with the 10C member's name on it, so no chance of switching.

I feel your pain. I'm only 5' tall, and I'm lucky that I have a great number (97xxx) so I usually end up in the first few rows, but somehow always manage to be seated behind some giant. Last week at the Worcester show I was in the second row on Stone's side of the stage, and was so excited until the guy in front of me showed up. He was 6'1", and even being one row below me he was still taller than I am, lol. Luckily he and his buddy would leave every so often to go get booze, but I still had to try and look around him to see for most of the show. It sucks being tiny. Maybe one day I'll get the nerve to ask if the person in front of me would mind switching seats. Ha ha.

I emailed 10c about this. They start with the sides, then once they get to the point where these seats are as far from the stage as the back of the GA pit, they fill in the floor. Personally I think lower level seats farther from the stage are better than middle or back of floor for most folks, especially us shorties. Not much point in going to a show if you can't actually see the band! I think back of floor seats would not be a great concert experience that one would expect as a fan club member

You shouldn't be shy about asking to switch seats at all! The tall person will still have a totally clear view (since you're short), and you won't be totally blocked. Sure, many will not do it, but it never hurts to ask nicely. If nothing else, asking nicely will help that person in front of you see that they are blocking someone, and maybe they'll try to help you out.

I commented in a similar thread, it just seems like the calibration is off... somewhere.

Mid 100s getting floor behind GA (which are supposed to be considered the worst 10c seats)

So if that's true, where are the 300XXXs and 400XXXs getting seated?? What's worse than the back of the floor?

I can see you and Rodman together at a show: blocking everyone's view, smoking cigars, and comparing colorful high heeled footwear!

    thats what Im wondering.

I have low 300s and I was in the 'best' section in Buffalo, but 21st row.

I have been to MSG 2x and normally end up back of floor on the risers.

It just seems off that people in the 1xx,xxx are that low.

Where can I get a pair?

And if I break my ankle maybe they will let me sit on the stage for the rest of the show :P
  • I was in the 2nd row of reserved tenclub seating last night and my view was obstructed for most of the show. I'm 5'9'' which isn't that short but when you get someone taller or even the same height in front of you, it's hard to see from any floor seat. I imagine shorter people see next to nothing from the floor. I love to be in lower section on the sides. Those are the best seats I think.

May I ask what approx your 10Club number is?
  • Has anyone seen a good thread with people listing their seat locations & fan club numbers? Any threads I've seen only have 1-2 responses. I'd be interested in seeing what seats people land and what their fan club number is. I miss the old touringfans.net site that tracked this information. Touringfans.net is back up but doesn't appear to have this feature anymore

It seems odd for 100xxx members to be behind the GA on the floor. I'm 283xxx and I'd much rather be in the side seats even if its further back. Keeping my fingers crossed for Dallas and OKC.

I have GA Phoenix tix and expect to be towards the back of the GA "pit".
I'm 5'10" and it always seems like they put a freakin giant wearing a sombrero in front of me at most shows.
At least with GA, if that 6'7" dude is there I can move around to get a better view.

We (my friend is about 5'4") were behind a group of tall bastards on the field at Wrigley. Had it not been for the screen, it would not have nearly as fun.
