    It's REM meets The Who.......

The acoustic guitar and arpeggios are very much REM influenced, and the electric heavier part sounds like the Who.

    Brain of J?

(Both share a guitar intro with a triplet strumming pattern, and kind of a descending chord pattern)

  • The correct answer: it's Light Years, but sped up.

I definitely hear Rosalita in it too.

I was listening to my Pearl Jam songs on shuffle mode and coincidentally Swallowed Whole played and then Better Things. That's it. Listen to the start of Better Things and then Swallowed Whole. It's the exact same thing (almost).
