Am I really the only one that thinks the art work for the album is complete crap other than the cover? I mean really, that Swallowed Whole thing on a back of a hoodie has to be the worst idea ever. And then to be subjected to that kiddie art for the Brooklyn show posters - give me a break.

I guess I'm glad I don't have to ruin a nice Friday afternoon bar hopping in lower Manhattan even pondering getting to the Merch early for fear of THAT poster selling out.

Pittsbugh gets a cool Steel worker, Buffalo gets a neat Buffalo/Queen City nod of the head and Brooklyn gets square and triangle Weebles meant to represent its diversity? Egad. Let's hope Jeff realizes his friend took advantage of him and gets his brother to throw something together quickly for the real shows.

I am so glad I did not waste my time last night.

I posted about this in another thread. The hoodie logo is an atrocity from a design perspective. On the concert tees, I liked the simplcity of the designs from the front of the tees. The simple lightning bolts and eyes (except the "M" with the eyes is pretty much the MONSTERS INC. logo) - the backs of the shirts all looked bootleg. The font sets didn't even match the album art. It was close but not right. Not sure what else to say. Seemed like a perfect opportunity to riff off the WHO target Ed loves with the Bolt. What do I know...

Completely disagree. The Swallowed Whole logo is my favorite and I love the hoodie. I never splurge the $65 for hoodies at shows, but as soon as I saw that one I snagged it up. Already one of my favorite PJ merch items and I have well over 50.

To each their own I guess.

Didn't mean it to be offensive. I was speaking more from a design perspective (and as someone that prefers clean, minimalist graphics) - it isn't an image I would have expected to see on the shirt. I sincerely am glad you love it!

Is this shop still there? Would love one of the Volcom ts. Happy to pay cash and ship or offer a trade up on a new Wrigley shirt.
  • Really want the red volcom shirt. If anyone has a size M they dont like the fit of, lemme know!

mine too...It was the first time i heard the songs and was like eddie keeps repeating this line...then saw the smudge...wiped it off (dry paper towel) & now it just sounds like clapping! (may try harder to clean or just get the red one when if it gets released) Great to have something new from PJ--skips and all!!

Hey guys... yea thats all the stuff that i picked up last night. Someone must of took the picture off of the facebook group i posted. Posters are Meh. But i agree the baby onesy is the best merch item they sold last night. i waited on line from 845pm. And was home and in the door by 130am. Only thing that bummed me out is the (black)vinyl i bought had some sort of glue substance on it from the record sleeve it was in. I assume the glue used to hold the sleeve together wasn't dry before they stuck the record in the sleeve. i tried to rub it off but it made it worst and it skips at that point when i try to play it.

othet then that it was an awesome experience last night.... Volcom and they crew had everything very organized and went off without a hitch.. thanks

Not that your're asking necessarily but I think someone did earlier: the volcom shirts are true to size. I'm very much a standard medium in everything and the medium fits me perfectly other than they run a bit long.

    dig the posters too...refreshingly different...

thought the sheep figures would be lame when I saw pictures but in person I like them...picked 1 up.

good time last night...kind of weird having the poster on my wall before going to the show...it's like time is going backwards

Anticipating major PJ withdrawls after this tour...

Mmm... I'm not feeling the posters. Gonna pass I think. Glad I got to see them here so I don't have to worry about them selling out on the day of the show.

Yeah... A photo never does justice to a sheep holding a penis. You have to see it in person.

There are three Volcom exclusive shirts.

Two mens designs: Blackish/grey with the three owls. Light-redish with circle and lightning bolt - I dunno why pics are showing it as orange or pink but I wouldn't call it a strong red either.

One ladies design: Two figures with heart (? I forget and didn't scroll back) on it.
