'Pendulum' and the artwork for 'The Fixer'

I've heard that 'Pendulum' was slated to appear on Backspacer.
I wonder if the artwork for 'The Fixer' was originally meant to be used for 'Pendulum'...

    Good call...because I never really understood how this artwork related to the song.
