thats what it says in the album credits...i can see him playing keyboards or another instrument the guys in the band don't play, but why would he play guitar in a band with 3 guitar players?

and it doesn't say what song...others songs where guys play different instruments are credited, like Mike playing bass on My Father's Son, or Stone playing bongos on Pendulum

i wonder what song he plays on, and what part?

My guess would be that simple, twangy lead guitar on SBM. My rationale here is that a) he convinced the band to record it for the album and b) he has previous history of contributing surf guitar to Pearl Jam music (i.e. Gremmie).

I believe he's played many instruments, including guitar, on every PJ album he's produced.

    Oh boy.... :?

Going by the most unlike Stone or Mike, I'd be inclined to say the intro to LTRP.

The intro to LTRP is played by Stone.

i always thought the guitar fills on Elderly Woman from Vs may have been Brendan....no offense to Mike, but they are very fluid and lyrical, after every line Eddie sings there is a little guitar fill...plus, Mike never does them live...i really don't think thats him playing (edit - just listened to it, eh it may be Mike after all)

same with the Latin sounding guitar fills in Around the Bend, and Hummus (the hidden track from Yield)...not Mike's style at all

i'm sure there are other examples i can't think of off the top of my head

Brenden commented in an interview about stone playing the LTRP lick.. He commented about the first time stone played it, and that he immediately loved it... So I think that's stone. But BoB is known for playing on people's records, that's for sure.

  • Eddie made a comment in one of the interviews, i think the one with Judd, that Brendan gets a vote on things, then he corrected himself and said Brendan gets two votes...and they all kind of smirked, i think he meant cuz Brendan plays on the albums too, so he is producer and "band member"

Yea, that kinda sucks... Mike played the solos on Ten without BOB, so obviously they are capable... I'm sure that when it happens it's in the interest of time, or perhaps they are getting a idea down on a day that either stone or mike are not present, but I would like to imagine they don't need him to play their parts.
