Do you think Eddie would be able to stream his own album on iTunes?

Very interesting set of responses and it's great to see how some people decided to read and interpret what I said.

As I mentioned I have addressed this with 10C on other occasions as well with zero response, this is why I came here with it. It's not a sense of entitlement, but as a paying 10C member I would like to be able to participate in what the band/club is doing online. This is not limited to just this one streaming audio event but comes to everything that ends up on iTunes or 10C Apps that only work on an iPhone. Just imagine if 10C made the forums only work on IE, thus leaving out all Apple users out of the community they enjoy being a part of. There is no logic or reason for that.

But keep judging or trolling if that's your thing. That's why I've only made a handful of posts across all the years I have been on this site. Thankfully I enjoy 10C members better in person than on here.

I'll listen to LB next week when my preorder shows up.

Brian, I agree with your two main ideas:

    1. I also choose not to download iTunes on my computer because I know that I open up my computer to a bunch of prying eyes. I already have enough of that. I feel if there are things I can control regarding my privacy, I will, and leaving off iTunes is a choice I've made.

    2. When I was reading all the responses to a simple observation you've made, I was thinking the exact same thing you've just stated above: posting anything on this forum opens one up to a barrage of nastiness like the starring role in "Mean Girls." I am one member who has no desire whatsoever to meet other 10C members in person. When I go to shows, I arrive, I listen the music, and then I get the hell out. My feelings about the people around me are definitely colored by the experience here. "Family" my ass.

Lists like this provide nothing more than fear mongering to people who don't know any different. Those pieces all have their purpose and they must be split up in that manner, due to the way Windows works.

    Bonjour - Useless
    Mobile Device Service - Useless
    iTunes Helper - Useless
    Quicktime - Useless
    QTTask - Useless
    Apple Software Update - Useless

Not a single one of these components take up any meaningful amount of memory or processor resources. Unless you're running on a decade old computer, they won't cause any performance issues.

I don't write this as a Windows or Apple fanboy, just a techie who hates when people continue to spread misinformation as fact.

I've revised the list to describe each item's usefulness as a Windows user who does not own any Apple devices.

What I usually find is these items are in the way while diagnosing a problematic system. On their own they're not prohibitive, but when every program from every vendor wants to install this many startup processes (and they all do), that creates a problem.

Thanks for reminding me of why I'm glad I left the Windows world a few years ago.

I agree iTunes sucks, but that's not going to keep me from using it to listen to the album. It is free and can be used on a PC.

However, I have not been able to figure out how to listen to the stream on my Android. Anyone know if that's possible, and if so, how to do it? I attempted isync, but from what I could tell this is only good for tranfering iTunes music libraries. Didn't see a way toisten to the stream.

i do give the op props for coming up with an unique complaint...i've seen a lot of pointless complaints here and this one is definitely original

and i agree...the band should make sure to tailor everything they do exactly for each fan...ya know, the way it should be
