Why did he name his son Rivers? Thought he would name his kid after one of the memebrs. Maybe his wife is a Weezer fan?
What show did he come on stage?

not poor taste at all. it's context as to why Steve was interviewing the band.
Which is how they should have just dealt with it... by explaining in the piece that Steve was asked to interview the band about their new album. And then be done with it. There was no need to show the album art and have Adam Schefter tell us its available for preorder on iTunes at the end of the segment. It made the whole thing seem like a commercial for Lightning Bolt. Which is too bad because it was a very powerful piece.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20 -

I don't know. if it was the other way around, they would have plugged Gleason playing in an upcoming Saints game, or an appearance he was making somewhere. it's part of the package.
and who knows? maybe Gleason WANTED their new album to be plugged. we ALL shout to the world everything about PJ, don't we?Gimli 1993

THEBIBLEISTEN wrote:That was an incredible interview. Steve's questions were great and his determination and willingness to face his mortality with such dignity is inspiring. We can all learn something from this. life is short and we need to take advantage of our time here with loved ones. Ed crying was so moving. These interviews have really shown more of the insides of the band.
And I just have to say this to those who complain on here about tours, tickets, t shirt sizes, shipping, loteery, eds hair, artwork, that these are bullshit complaints. Steve is going to pass on and knows he wont be there for his son or wife and he complains less than 99% of this board. He is looking on the positive and taking advantage of his time here and trying to make a difference.
We have people who in this same thread are complaining about ESPn and the announcers on the NFL countdown show. WHO GIVES A FUCK?!!!?
Wouldnt your time be better spend calling your parents or a friend and telling them you love them or just going outside and helping a stranger out? Maybe, enjoyng a sunrise or a sunny day? Not sitting behind a computer and complaining about your worthless, dumb ass complaints and lottery seats or t shirt delivery times?
Life is about taking advantage of the day and sharing love and laughs with those we care about.
Im done, thanks for listening. And for the record complaining about the complainers isnt complaining. Im making a fucking point.
Love you all
so you've never complained about anything in your life that you later realized was trivial? gimme a break. we've all done it, including Steve, including Ed and the band, probably even Gandhi complained about his sandals not fitting right on a couple of occasions. you don't need to get up on a soapbox and lecture everyone just because you saw something on tv that moved you. it moved all of us. but life isn't JUST about these things. life is about the mundane things that make us appreciate things like this too.Gimli 1993

I am in tears right now. A complete mess. Having lost my father last year, I relate to a lot of things in this interview very personally.
Thank you, so much PJ. Your music transcends. And Mr. Gleason is one hell of a man.
Was gonna go to the library to study, I now have to take a moment to collect myself. Wow."Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."
