A question about Pittsburgh

Can anyone from Pittsburgh steer me in the right direction? I won't be arriving in Pittsburgh until 5:30ish p.m. on the day of the show. Where should I go to eat and drink and make it to the show on time. Are they having a warm up band?

    I always go to the Souper Bowl, it is practically less than a block away from the venue. No word has been mentioned about opening bands for the first leg. I'm assuming they will have one but with less than 2 weeks away before the start I'm not so sure anymore.

    Do they take reservations? If I do not get there until 6- will we have trouble eating and getting to the venue on time? Trying to figure out if we should just bring our own food and drink and party at the hotel and just get to the venue on time. Although, it is more fun to party with other fans.

    Souper bowl is the best!!!!

    Not sure if they reservations, if I had to guess I would say no, but not completely sure. Probably would be best if you called and asked.

    I'm in a similar boat - My wife cannot miss her class that day, so we probably won't be getting into Pitt until about 6:30, and that is barring any traffic setbacks. Then we have to check into the hotel and go pick up our 10C tickets. It's gonna be tight. Does anyone know if the 10C ticket windows are open until a certain time, or if I get there after 7:30 will I still be able to get my tix?

    If there is an opening band pj won't take the stage until 845-9pm.

    Should be more than enough time to eat and make the show.

    Now if you plan on buying a poster or shirt, that's a whole other story.

    But eating and arriving on time, you will be fine. Just because doors open early, doesn't mean pj will be on stage early.

    I'm sure there will be an opening band, but it's really crazy that we don't know yet. I don't think the Souper Bowl takes reservations and it gets pretty crowded as far as getting a table. The Double Tree hotel is a block away and inside they have the Bigelow Grille--decent food and drink. I'll eat there sometimes before concerts or Pens games because it's close and they take reservations through opentable.com. It's the easiest way to do it, in my opinion. You can also eat inside the venue. There is your typical arena fare, but also Primanti's, Nakama, Burgatory and the Smokehouse.

    I saw the Bigelow on line. I think tomorrow I will try and make reservations. I will be leaving work at 3 thirty and def. want to eat and party before the show, so making reservations will work better for me. Thanks for all your help. It sure would be nice to know if there was an opening band!!
