    Sweet! 8-)

That really didn't tell us anything, especially since they should have already been shipped. I just feel like we shouldn't be charged for things until they actually have them to ship and we were charged months ago for this.

They should have? Where did it say they should of been shipped already? :| The item description did say around Sept 1st. But the latest update from 10club say's ..

I kind of like it. It seems everytime I preorder something in a foreign currency (and I don't billed until it ships) the Canadian dollar goes down. I much prefer getting charged up front because I know what the FX rate is and what not.

I booked a hotel room in San Francisco back in May when the rate was better. They were supposed to charge right away but didn't until we got there. The CDN dollar dropped from .97 to .95 in that time... .02 x 400 = $8 Extra :)

I think I got a pretty good FX rate when the preorder was up so I'm glad they locked it in.... just my foreign perspective.

Perhaps the 10c should start doing a Scott and raise their estimates for shipping by a factor of 4. That way they always ship before we think they will and were all happy campers :)

So you don't believe in presales? It's a very common practice... What's the problem? Do you not believe they will be sent and 10c will dishonour the purchase and keep your money?

But yeah, we know nothing besides the fact that they will arrive someday (which is fine... I am starting to notice that those manufacturers who press smaller batches of vinyl are always late with the order). I will also be surprised if anyone tells us how many were pressed if they aren't numbered. I have had resistance from 10c in the past over that topic for other items that aren't numbered. Not sure what that's about, but I believe that we should always be given that info; it has a direct impact on the value/rarity of the item we bought. We shouldn't be forbidden to know it just because of the fear of flippers. The value and/or rarity of vinyl matters to a lot of non-flippers too. That's why we tend to like hand numbered items. That said, I take it back if they all end up being numbered. ;)

I'm fine with presales. I'm not worried about getting the item, just wondering when it will be and would rather be charged at or near the time of shipping. I like the way Amazon handles their presales. I also understand its probably not 10c fault but the manufacturer in the untimely manner.

I'm not sure why people need to know the exact number pressed. What does it matter? There are more than 2,000 benny's out there even though they are numbered out of 2,000. The market will set itself if you're concerned about its "value."

The presale page said around 9/1. I personally didn't really buy that date, but I'm hoping to have it some time this month. That would tell me that this went pretty smoothly and I would think it would be more likely that they do more made to order deals in the future for vinyl or maybe video boots.

I agree. If they wanna put that info out there, fine, but I don't think it's something they "should" do. Like you said, the market will set itself.

In personally love preordering, and also like not really knowing when it is going to arrive. It always feels like a surprise then. :) I currently have a number of albums on preorder - I can't even remember some I think - and it will just be fun when they randomly start arriving through the fall! :)

Agree. I don't really care or need to know how many of these or any PJ product is made. I won't be selling my copy.

I dunno. I just want to know as a collector (who keeps and plays every single album BTW). I want to know EVERYTHING about each and every record I have if possible. It's just a part of that underlying sense of compulsion attached to my love for vinyl and collecting it. And since I am paying for it and it is by its very nature a collectors' item, I feel like I have a right to know, whatever the reason might be.

Me neither. I don't sell. But I still want to know. Nothing wrong with that. That's cool you don't care, but I want the info, and probably many others wouldn't mind knowing as well. I see no reason why they shouldn't give us that info just for those who do want that info. I don't understand why they wouldn't just note it for every 10c release. It's not like they don't know the exact number pressed. It is right there on the bill of lading whatever.

Never selling mine but its always cool to know how limited or not so limited something is. Its just a shame it causes a frenzy with PJ fans. Im guessing they sold 4 or 5k which is a big pressing.

I also would like to know how many there are, it would be nice to which number my copy is. It is always a topic for conversation with other fans or people in general, explaining while vinyl is better, showing them the pics, the wax, that some songs of the show are on LO2L, that SOL is the one from 98 xmas single, why PMPM and YL ain't on it, and that you are one of the lucky ones who has this gem...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...
