I was reminicsing with my brother about one of the first concerts he and I attended together....1996 - Savage Hall / Toledo, OH. One of the highlights for us was Stone singing Mankind. I checked and it looks like this song has only been performed 39 times.

I would love to have them perform it when I see them this November in Phoenix, AZ.....

LET STONE SING ! ! ! LET STONE SING ! ! ! LET STONE SING ! ! ! LET STONE SING ! ! ! LET STONE SING ! ! !

Who's with me ? ! ? ! ? ! ? !

  • I remember when this chant started in London, ON back in '05. Ed said something very true that night. I don't remember the exact quote, but it went something like this: Stone will sing when he wants to. It's not like anyone is telling him not to.
Stone's a big boy; he'll sing when he feels like it.

    That was a classic moment.

Ed: "Stone Gossard can sing any time he wants, on any stage. He's waiting for a worthy crowd apparently."

Stone: "Actually what I always wanted to do was dance..."
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

"Me knowing the truth, I can not concur."

Whenever we hear Stone singing backup, my husband and I say "Stone can sing any time he wants!" Love this quote! Right up there with "shoe the shoeless"!

I was hoping for Stone singing at Wrigley as it was his birthday... Damn rain!

    Haha that really was classic.
  • Only as backup on Gremmie out of control and that's all I need of his singing.

There is a reason why Ed is the lead singer....let Ed sing, not Stone.
40+ shows, it is never enough!

Totally agree 100%. I would also give the same advice to The Who. I guess, a little late at this point.
