Where do I start!!!!.........
Made my way down to Ticketmaster at 2am, and was surprised to see about 15 people in front of me in the queue (5 of them had been there since 4pm!!). I was armed with my laptop, my mobile phone (to enable internet connection on the laptop) another mobile which I'd bought yesterday, food, drink and a blanket.
There I settled for the night while the rest of them drank beers and listened to music. The queue started to grow at around 6am, until at around 8.30 there were about 100 people behind me.At 7am a bloke near me spewed his guts up
At around 8, I decided to hedge my bets and decided to try and enlist the help of some of you on here(sorry for disturbing you Brendan & Woz, I knew you would've helped if you could)
At 8.45, I logged onto the Ticketmaster website, and at 9am the doors opened and we all piled into the office. I have never seen such a slow speed at processing tickets in my life  The line didn't move AT ALL!!! While this was going on I was trying to buy tickets online, but couldn't get through :(
At 9.05 I decided to use my last option, the new mobile I'd bought yesterday. I dialled Ticketmaster and waited on hold for a minute until I heard the man on the other end say "Hello, Ticketmaster. How can I help you?"
I have never spoken so quickly in my life. Well, I managed to luckily get 3 seats (1 for me, 1 for Hin and 1 for his friend) the unfortunate thing is that they're not together, and they're at the back.
As I was giving my credit card details, the call came up that the show was sold out!! 8 minutes is all it took!!
I'm so glad that I was fully prepared because there was still 4 people in front of me waiting to buy tickets!!
After I made my way back outside there were plenty of pissed off people swearing at the top of their lungs. I walked away with a grin on my face.
I'm going to see Rage Against The Machine!!!

'grats on getting tix at the end of the day!wah0 -

I just got this joke in email though!!
A young blonde woman in Sydney was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself from the Harbour Bridge.
She went down to the bridge and was about to leap into the frigid water when a handsome young sailor saw her tottering on the edge of the Bridge crying.
He took pity on her and said "Look, you have so much to live for.” I’m off to Europe in the morning, and if you like, I can stow you away on my ship.
I'll take good care of you and bring you food every day."
Moving closer, he slipped his arm around her shoulder and added, "I'll keep you happy, and you'll keep me happy."
The girl nodded yes. "After all, what do I have to lose?"
Perhaps a fresh start in Europe would give her life new meaning.
That night, the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a lifeboat.
From then on, every night he brought her three sandwiches and a piece of fruit, and they made passionate love until dawn.
Three weeks later, during a routine inspection, she was discovered by the captain ."What are you doing here?" the captain asked.
"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors, who's stowed me away" she explained "I get food and free passage to Europe, and he's screwing me."
'He certainly is," the captain said. "This is the Manly Ferry. "
Cracked me up......:p0 -
Oz Jammer wrote:The only saving grace I suppose is that the whole package is still complete (tickets in envelope with receipt still affixed with my name on it)
I'm not holding my breath though. I doubt there'd be many people who'd find a $100 ticket on the street and decide to hand it back :(
Couldnt ya get the local newspaper to do a sad sop story on how one of the intergators lots their tickets that were a birthday pressie from their oldies..0 -
Oz Jammer wrote:Yeah I phoned them. I spoke to the woman who gave me the tickets this morning and she remembered me. She was so apologetic but said there's nothing she can do.
She said that hopefully someone will hand them in, but if no-one has then she told me to give her a call 1 week before the show.
This is gonna be the most frustrating month ever :( Do I buy another ticket or do I hope that this nice lady can pull a few strings?
I'm off to work.......catch ya's all tonight!!
PS. Glenn (not yours Kylie) if you read this don't worry because whatever happens I'll still get those stubbie holders for you
Do u know the seat numbers and that.....0 -
