    Mankind - State College 5.3.00

Love the video game sound after take 1
  • Just Breath - Melbourne 09.. Ed basically jumped to the last verse midway the song where there is a repeated lyric.. The band played the right music, Ed just took them in the wrong direction..

Also in Melbourne I think in 06, 3rd show, Ed introduced the next song as Glorified G, when in fact Daughter was the next song on the set list.. Became back and corrected himself though... I think Jeff Ament set him straight...

Best band in the world though, and agree that it makes the show unique when they bugger it up.. And they generally acknowledge it and have a laugh about it...

Alone in NJ in 2006, it sucks cause the song gets limited play and its one of my favs, then it gets fucked up

I'd be a bit pissed if I heard them play this one and it got botched, as it's one off my list of never heards, want to hear. In Melb '03 Eddie mucked up the lyrics to Wishlist, cant remember whether it was the first or second concert, and a lot of people laughed.
"thru extensive negotiations we managed to get the curfew moved back..... we still don't have any time to fu&k around...."

I know Eddie says "there was no getting away with that one" after the song, but I never knew what the f'up was. Could someone enlighten me?

I don't know if it counts as "live" but Comatose during the AOL sessions. He messes up the line " consider me an object, freer than friction".

  • Evacuation in Washington 2008. Complete fuck up. Fun to listen to.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • I've got an undated early Boot (it's mentioned that Soundgarden and Alice In Chains are on next so maybe the Palladium show in '91) where Why Go is just dreadful. One of the guitars is in the wrong key, Ed can't decide which one he's going to follow and Jeff's Bass is out of tune. You can hear Jeff trying to tune mid-song but when it gets to that big rung out chord before the first "Why go home" it gets so bad you can hear Ed laugh!!
  • Last exit form Alpine I in 98. He says screw it lets play the next one.
