Have they ever fucked up Fuckin' Up?? that would be priceless....
About every time I hear Fuckin Up on PJ Radio, they (Ed) fuck up. I think Ed knows that its called Fuckin up, so why bother memorizing the lyrics...haha0 -

Yeah. Mainly Eddie forgetting/mixing up the lyrics. Saratoga '00 comes to mind . . Eddie completely botches a verse, but musically the song is usually flawless.Barrie 08/22/98

yeah, that song has about 3 chords in it, so hard to fuck up musically0 -
Not a HUGE screw up, but the only time I've seen Eddie get visibly upset at messing up a part of the song is during the Showbox show in on December 6, 2002 during Thumbing My Way. Right after the "I let go of the rope, thinking that's what held me back" line, either he, or someone else, goes WAY off key during a chord/note change and Eddie grimaces . . . .

I don't know what venue it was (can't remember) but I have a boot from 1993 where Ed changes the lyrics to Glorified G to: "And I love frogs"

I'll never understand this line of thinking.
I mean, yeah who wants them to actually play all of their songs well?
I don't need a reminder that they're human, I can tell that by looking at them.0 -

I think it was 4/3/94 if I am not mistaken. Because of the band "The Frogs" who opened up several shows on that tour, of course...
and let's not forget "Glorified version of....I hate this song"Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"0 -

If you've not seen this clip it is worth watching, especially around two and a half minutes in. This show is actually really great to listen to despite the numerous fuck-ups throughout.
Gods Dice early tour 2000 was rarely played right, likewise with Immortality all through 2000. The worst I've seen was probably this one....

Alive at Dublin '00 was pretty much ruined too.
Wishlist at Manchester '00, Ed forgot the lyrics and said "At least I know the words to Stone's songs". This was after wanting to play Thin Air but Stone didn't so Wishlist got played "under protest".2000: Manchester

I've never heard a version of Yellow Ledbetter that didn't have mangled lyrics
I slay me

The first time I saw them live was in Sacramento in 1998.
Ed started singing "Better Man" with the lyric, "talking," realized his mistake immediately and kept playing the guitar part and started the verse over with, "waiting," with a nod and a smile.
"Even Flow" and "Wishlist" were completely destroyed that night as well!
Jeez, these guys need to practice more!Fan of singer songwriters who push musical boundaries?
