Doubt it because of this statement and because the band does not seem like they go to the studio together enough to make a doublesevered hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

2x album would be a welcome surprise
but, like SVRD mentions, highly unlikely.
As for posters on previous pages bitching about the inclusion of a revamped Sleeping By Myself :fp: ....three words: Get. Over. It. If the band chooses to channel their creativity towards reimagining one of Ed, or for that matter any of the members', songs then IMHO it's exciting to see where they take it. Why bemoan that they find it important enough to release that piece of music into the world as an album track? There's a current thread questioning if we the fans have gotten spoiled. To those that vehemently bitch about the inclusion or exclusion of this or that song, yes, you have become spoiled.0 -

Who's to say that the track names haven't been released at random? The order of songs is still only speculation at this point.0

I always liked Sleeping By Myself on Ed's uke album, and I'll be eager to hear a full band version. I loved the full band version of Setting Forth-was lucky to hear it live in Montreal!!

I dont think questioning SBM is being spoiled (bitching about it TOO much is though
)...its just an unusual move by the band. Im honestly a bit surprised SBM is on there, but I'm eager to hear the tune...but I'm surprised they put a rehashed song thats a few years old on a fresh new album. I just think its unusual and something they havent done in previous 9 albums.
Im not criticizing it, or upset, i just think its odd...Of course we havent even heard it yet, and it might be awesome.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -
Yeah right? I had to YouTube the song to remember it but hopefully the band jams it out a bit, the full band version of cant keep is light years better than the Ed solo version IMOoctober22 wrote:I think I got half way through that uke album and fell asleep. I hear ya. Questioning it is one thing and entirely within reason (after all is an odd move
), I just don't get the multiple posts where folks spit venom over the decision. 0 -
I don't think SBM is that unusual. I don't think EV released Ukelele Songs thinking it would be a top seller. He most likely wrote the song for the Uke and thought it had bigger potential with the band.
Can't say I care much for it as of now but it could be good.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I don't like the idea of including sleeping by myself on the new album because I would just rather hear a brand new song. Same reason I don't care if they include Of the Earth. However, it is one of the Uke songs that could be interesting as a full band. It will be interesting if it is a different take with modified lyrics. I just would have preferred hearing it on a complication or a live setting.08/28/98-09/01/00-12/08/02-12/09/02-04/28/03-05/03/03-07/05/03-07/06/03-07/08/03-07/09/03-07/12/03-10/01/04-10/03/05-05/13/06-05/27/06-05/28/06-06/01/06-06/03/06-06/19/08-06/25/08-10/28/09-10/31/09-05/17/10-10/19/13-10/21/13-10/27/13-4/28/16-09/11/22-09/07/240

I feel the same way you do about sbm.....This sleeping by myself would have made a good b-side for the new album...0
