It was also a Pearl Jam song first prior to ever being released on the Ukulele songs album.
I just think with 3 full band songs that we know of floating around, SBM maybe should have just gotten the same treatment as Setting Forth and just played live sometimes.
It's not like nobody had ever heard a uke version of Can't Keep before it showed up on Riot Act.
How do you know SBM doesn't have some brand new treatment that is just fucking awesome? You don't. I, for one, am thoroughly intrigued by how that song is going to sound as a Pearl Jam song.
Really looking forward to it.
pretty sure outside of the most hardcore PJ fans, not too many had heard the uke version of Can't Keep before Riot act. Might be the same fore this one. Maybe it will be awesome, I hope it is. I'm just saying after 4 years I thought they would have had more than a song already out there. Is that OK for my opinion?...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -
Caveeze wrote:Not weird at all.. 5 song writers in the band.. somebody may have had it on the shelf since backspacer.. anything is possible
That just so happened to have the same three-word title as an Ed uke song? It would be quite a coincidence, is all I'm saying.
I'm not sure why you're so bent on dismissing the most obvious scenario: The band treated Ed's uke song as a demo version and turned it into a full band song ... a la, the same process they've used to write like 80 percent of their songs since Ten came out.
But whatever.everybody wants the most they can possibly get

But you want Of The Earth on the album? That song is already out there too. No, it's not on an album, but I've heard that song for 3 years.6/29/98 Chicago-United Center

Since MYM is 2nd that fits the zero (the plate) backwards for 3102, which means Lightening Bolt (as either the 3 or the 1 depending on how they draw it) will be 4th or 3rd track.
Dang! Spot on... We now have "Pearl Jam" spelled out with the images! GOOD CALL MATE!
MYM image is still in the air though... waiting on a "2","1" and a "3"...
Ok lets be honest, that is a stretch at best. At worst those are pictures. Really I only see letters in like... 2 of them :fp:0 -
The OUTRAGE over SBM is hilarious. Not just here other places too.
Whatever. Like I said, surprised they revisited it. Intrigued to hear it. Either way I'm just as excited for this fall as I was before.0 -

no need to get all smarty pants about it. I have been in bands, I know what it is all about..
Just a prediction i am making, whether anyone believes it to be plausible or not..
And I am not so sure why you are so "bent" on proving me wrong on something as frivolous as a track on an album.. Just a loose prediction, get over it..None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free.

Here, let me help you... I think Black Diamond had this call... spot on... we just need the "2", the "1", and the "3" from "2013"... the last 3 images could possibly do this... and then... we will see if he is correct with the t-shirt, using the images, is correct as well...
I think it is brilliant!
I am trying to remain outside the box in my thoughts and opinions, until we are through this whole fiasco over the next 45 days... Anything is possible with this band... so I agree with you on the "stretch" part... they definitely stretch everyones' emotions, with everything they do...

I'm guessing that the LB pic will be the "1", then two more reveals to get the "2" and the "3"And so you see, I have come to doubt

So where is that tracklist again?
LB, Infallible, and one new one left?Turn this anger into

Yes, unless Infallible is now under a different name... which is possible.Vedd Hedd wrote:So where is that tracklist again?

I definitely see where you guys are coming from but i kinda think that maybe you are just seeing what you want to see. I mean you could draw a million different sequences of lines in those pictures that make more sense.0 -
Vedd Hedd wrote:So where is that tracklist again?

So based on Black Diamond's theory.. the list so far is...
1.
2. Mind Your Manners
3.
4.
5. Sleeping By Myself
6. Let the Records Play
7. My Father's Son
8. Getaway
9. Swallowed Whole
10. Yellow Moon
11. Sirens
12. Future Days
:corn:
A little wracking of the brain... Lightning Bolt, and the other two tracks are? Infallible (confirmed by BO'B), and "Apollo"?07-19-'13 Chicago (TY EarthCam) @ 10♣

I'm not so sure about the two bottles being the A in Pearl. I think it looks more like an X, as in 10, as in their 10th studio album.
But man, Black Diamond did an incredible job on this.Gimli 1993

To be honest, I think the P, A and R are all a bit of a stretch but it's still fun to play along!Hugh Freaking Dillon wrote:I'm not so sure about the two bottles being the A in Pearl. I think it looks more like an X, as in 10, as in their 10th studio album.

Not everyone is OUTRAGED. I had an opinion that I was surprised it was being used full band, and started to get flamed for it. It is OK to have an opinion. Maybe I should have mentioned I never thought it was a great song before. Maybe having the full band will change that. Maybe not.
Of course, I may have got flamed for not thinking the world the solo version either....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0
