    This:
I get the confusion as to why they went back to it. I'd like to hear it first though before
    I question the reasoning.
    and this:
You guy's realize Can't Keep started as a uke song. Right? I'm sure you do. This sort of thing happens all the time. So calm down, ya psychos. ;)
Let's reserve judgement until we actually hear the thing. You never know, it could be like 'Speed Wash', amped up and not a uke in sight! :D
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

    Seriously.
  • looks like they are continuing with the theme for Backspacer, with the artwork as a puzzle thing. Hopefully we get another free track like we got with Ed's solo version of Speed of Sound.

It was also a Pearl Jam song first prior to ever being released on the Ukulele songs album.

I just think with 3 full band songs that we know of floating around, SBM maybe should have just gotten the same treatment as Setting Forth and just played live sometimes.

A little wracking of the brain... Lightning Bolt, and the other two tracks are? Infallible (confirmed by BO'B), and "Apollo"?

Are we even positive it is the same song? Maybe Jeff, Matt, Stone or Mike by coincidence had written a song by the same name.. Anything is possible..

And let's be honest. Ukelele Songs had a niche audience. Meaning us and maybe some guy in Hawaii that collects ukeleles. It was pretty much Ed demos. I love it but it wasn't more than that.

Lightning Bolt is a mainstream release. It's basically a new song to a lot of people that will buy the album. It's not like they re-hashed Daughter.

And who's to say the phantom song they "could" have wrote would be better?

Can't Keep was first played on the Ukelele and then brought to the Riot Act sessions.

Yes I know that, I had the bootlegs of it prior to Riot Act. BUT it was first officially released as a new PJ Song.

It's not like nobody had ever heard a uke version of Can't Keep before it showed up on Riot Act.

How do you know SBM doesn't have some brand new treatment that is just fucking awesome? You don't. I, for one, am thoroughly intrigued by how that song is going to sound as a Pearl Jam song.

    Really looking forward to it.

I would be shocked if it's a ukele solo version. I don't think you have to worry about that. At all.

What? You think it's a completely different song with the exact same title. I suppose anything is possible. But that would just be weird.

I'm not overly impressed with this song. I mean, it's fine. But it's not one I'm dying for a studio version of.
