Probably my most disliked of all PJ songs!!
I dislike it more each time I hear it, kind of like Cherry Pie by Warrant it's fingernails on a chalkboard
  • this is possibly the best song on backspacer.

Get Right has actually grown on me since those comments, and it is definitely not one of their worse tunes
I never saw any comments disparaging Get Right, but I'm surprised to hear they exist - I think that's a really good song! :)
Most people hate the hand claps in Get Right.
Really? Huh. I love the clapping. Who doesn't love trying to clap along with a song that has clapping?? It's the reason Bron-y-aur Stomp is my favorite Led Zeppelin song... even though I still can't seem to get the clapping right, after 24 years or so.

at first the lyrics seemed a little unnerving, made me cringe..but now I

love it and it's a fun song to try and sing along with!..Ed's tone seems to turn and twist around in it ~

It disheartens me that this songs gets so much hate and a generic tune like Unthought Known gets praise heaped on it.

Not the biggest fan of PJ's punk inspired stuff, but JG has a pretty cool arrangement and the positive energy that they were going for, with Backspacer shines through without being hokey. And are the lyrics really any worse than Unthought Known?

    the worst lyric on backspacer

I think ed's vocals and matt's fills at the end on johnny guitar are killer

love this song. i think its a stronger tune on Backspacer. Great groove, cool timing. The outro is killer, awesome darker vibe at the end with CLASSIC Vedder-isms.

Whats wrong with the lyrics? In my mind, they are phrased immaculately to fit the interesting groove of the tune. This song had a perfect combo of "virology-rock-ness" and "new-PJ-matt-cameron-timing-thing" that is awesome together.

Just put Backspacer on the turn table, cant wait to get to this song.

On a mostly pretty boring album, I think this one sticks out in a positive way. Think PJ brought something fresh and cool compared to their usual forays into punkier territory.

Agreed. It seems like a song that you wouldn't expect from PJ which I like.

have you listened to Unthought Known in an enhanced state of mind? I respond more to how a song sounds stoned, I use to do a lot of LSD and shrooms, and that is my background, now it is just ganja, so I like more psychedelic classic rock stuff, but I do really like the harder stuff as well, UK is fantastic stoned, actually most of Backspacer is, and I could live without Just Breathe or The Fixer, but 8 out of 11 ain't bad
