i already wrote down you and uncle snuffs names to remember when the time is right, thanks for the help.

so see what im saying snuff, last night there was two up on ebay--909.99 or best offer (mine), and 850 buy now....the best offer that ultimately won that was my 610 today...but another came up last night for 909, the seller was apparently matching the other 909 showing...and it sold almost immediatley for 909... so i felt good about 610 this morning...

It's my second favorite, I guess that doesn't count, but it's the only poster with a baseball field on it, it's better than the Ames for sure.

the coloring scheme on the Ames variant should have been the show version, IMO

I think $610 is a steal for the Ames Wrigley Variant. I'm glad I scored mine when I did or I would have been priced out of the market. People should grab them now because they're getting y collectors who won't let them go. Their value will only climb over time. Only 45 released to the public makes this a super rare poster....more rare than the PJ20 Billboard poster.

It would be nice if flippers didn't buy these posters just to sell them for a profit, but there's nothing much that can be done about it.

True... we'd all like to get what we want for less, but we pay more if we want more. I don't have an issue with a flipper if that's the going rate. That flipper is taking a chance that the value won't explode even more (e.g. the Benny prices) or he gets stuck with a stack of 06 San Fran and Milwaukee posters.

Yup. By this time next year you may not see more than one for sale a year. Except for the guy who will put it on Ebeans for $1500 and sit on it.

So will these posters be worth more than the made in america posters?

    In a word......YES.

I believe the "Cubs factor" is what is driving up the value. If you're a PJ poster collector AND a Cubs fan then this poster is an absolute must for your collection.

As I said in an earlier post, these Ames variants are being bought up by serious collectors who are willing to pay these prices to assure that the poster will be part of their collection for many years to come. I personally am a St. Louis Cardinals fam so the Cubs factor means nothing to me. I just happen to prefer the variant to the regular and s/n versions. That said, I will need to buy a s/n version to keep my collection complete. Ha ha !
