    Its a surprise for her b/day....
    I had no chance online got booted out after about 30secs...by 1minute past sections were already exhausted......They have already put the nasty crap tickets up to get rid off...
    Melb they actually did another show and that was listed to start selling after 10am..
    I tried that just looking incase my daughters boyfriend didnt go well at the ticketek office and finished up purchasing to 2 tix section 8 row 8..;
    After purchasing those I searched again and got Sec A row c.....Gees imagine if I had that luck in Nov for the Melb shows....geeesssss....
    So looks like Im heading to Melb with my 9 yr old in August for some Gwen and perhaps a game of footy :)

    The actual cactus has been there as long as I have lived here which is over 20yrs. But back in Oct we had a few really hot dry days with norwesterly winds blowing and there were bushfires....It was really hot and dry..
    The cactus thought it was going to die I reckon and sprouted this big shoot....Its about 35ft high....So buy christmas it was at the height it is now..So like in about 2mths it reached that height, then slowly the flowers appeared then..its taken since then for the flowers to open...
    I will see if i can find a pic from a few mths ago.....SADLY tho once they flower they start to die....when the flowers finishes the cactus will be cactus...:( (it will be dead)

    Im not sure how long the flowers are all finished nearly now it has big like acorn thingys left..I reckon it will start throwing seed now.....
    Each time I drive past it I hope and pray its not about to fall over....they fall over when they die....:(

    I know, yesterday we were buried somewhere in the depths of page 3, page 3!! As Rove would say, what the? Sorry for all you non Rove fans out there! Well Tigress, my day was a lot less busy than I thought it was going to be so that was a relief, especially after yesterday when we had a person ring up saying they were 14, they'd taken an overdose and just wanted to talk to someone while they died! 3 hrs later the police helped us track them down, turned out they were lying about their age, but the od bit was true so off to hospital they went. So yeah, afetr that today was a breeze!!!! Although it did take me several minutes when i woke up this morning to work out what day it was!!!!!!
    So you do shift work? My fiance does shift work when he's on the ward (which thanfkully hasn't been for months, which is especially good right now because my Rav is in intensive care awaiting a transplant and we have to share a car!), he doesn't handle night duty too well, which isn't surprising really!!! I couldn't do shift work, I have great admiration for those who can handle chopping and changing, it'd drive me nuts!

    :eek: OMG!! That is some serious Shit DOJ!! ok, so you have admiration for people in my line of work... really, its just all the insomniacs in the world gathering in the same industry! No you my friend.... that stuff is admirable! i dunno how you do it.
    I have a girlfriend who is a .... child care worker...???dunno... Anyhow.. she goes and stays at homes with kids who have been abused, who are a little crazy... all sorts of shit... omg... she has been stabbed (not badly though) threatened, abused and everything else by these kids and you know what.... she still goes back every day to look after them and help them. Got me fucked how she does it... but she does.

    glad your having a better day today babe! hope the rav gets the new organ it needs!

    With the rav, I think I'll just rip out my own heart and give it to it, it'd be a darn sight cheaper!!!!!! I like the dubious question marks around teh 'child care worker'! That'd be a bloody hard job no doubt. At least with mine I get to leave the kids at the door on the way out every afternoon!!! We have a really good team, so that makes the job heaps easier than what it otherwise could be. Today was good, i spent the day fart arseing around and doing very little. hope everyone else is having a relaxing weekend too!
