Evenflow is SICK

i occasionally see posts that regard Evenflow as a "piss break" song. Or people "wish they didn't play it so often". Or "its played too fast now!!"

i dont give a shit, i love that song. its god damn epic. i hope they play it at BOTH worcester shows, and that the solo/jam is SUPER long. hell yea.

I dont get the hate for the hits... you know what else i wanna hear?

Elderly Woman
Betterman
Alive
Jeremy (never mind, they can hang that one up)

Not everyone in the crowd knows "hold on". there is nothing like Evenflow to bring the night to the next level!

TO ME, this song will always sound like THIS when the band is playing it, even if it has become a fast paced requirement from the band:

Its their most played song, so the die hards just hear it too much. I generally skip it on the bootlegs so it sounds fresh to me live at a show. Mike's shredding will never get old!

its one of their best song..its one of their hymn
the only reason this song not to be in the setlist,is when they play 2 nights in the row at the same venue-city and they choose not to replay it..
but for me,when they start writting the setlist, even to a back to back show must be the song they add first..
its more than epic,at every second of it..
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

it is still great but I do tend to skip it on the bootlegs. one of the reasons it's a piss break song is because it usually comes in the 8th to 12th song of the set range and after tailgating before the show that usually constitutes the time to go again.

I think it could use a new place in the set. closing the show (or before Yellow Ledbetter) I think would be cool. Put it in RITW spot.

i agree about RITFW. if fact, fewer covers overall. if we skip RITFW, that means we might get a "Faithfull".

Should be played later, like Alive is.

RITFW should be played as often as lets say Baba, and not every show like nowadays.

Eddie didn't climb the speaker rigs to Last Kiss or just breathe,No that was Fucking Even Flow. This Epic gem is part of the Holy Trinity of Must Play songs (Alive, Betterman and you could add Porch). It brings the show energy to a new place and its always a better place.Piss break, Pleeeease. You hold it in for this classic. I am disappointed if it isn't played..

I Love this song and have since the day it was released. It is Rock Masterpiece and a Heavy weight jam.IMO you cannot truly embrace the evolution of this band without paying respects to the sludgy kick ass songs that got it all going. Also to the casual fans, spouses kids that get dragged to a show by diehards like us ,they know it ,can sing to it.Can get their groove on.

I like moving it into the encore portion of the show.

I have found that no matter how much beer I drink, if a sweat a ton, I dont have to piss..

But I have always found it fascinating that some people can actually schedule there piss breaks.. If I gotta go, I gotta go.. just have to accept that I will be running through the crowd during "Green Disease" or something like that..

But, if it happens during a real rarity, I am just gonna let it go where i stand ;)

I Love seeing Even Flow live. It think its a classic --rock your socks off-- kind of jam.
The fast pace, and then the extra long jam that follows, give all the band member a chance to really shine.
I always enjoy the energy of this song.

I took my son to his first Pearl Jam show at age 8 in Columbus in 2010. People heading to the exits during Even Flow, and he asked where they were going. I told him, and he replies, "There should be no 'pee break' songs...this is a Pearl Jam concert! I'm staying for every song, and I'll pee after the show." He then asks, "Dad, can I take off my shirt and rock out to Even Flow?" He's the reason I have "EVN FLOW" on my license plates.

It's the one song I always feel compelled to take out my camera and do a little filming. Usually during Mike's solo. I must have ten clips with this song and maybe one or two other clips. This song rocks

First...I love Even Flow. It was/is the song that hooked me on the band. And when I hear it on the radio I still crank it up just like I did in '91/'92.

However...as I've said before in a different posting in this forum it has lost all of it's dark, ominous tone when played live. No extended bridge section being grounded/lead by Jeff's bass. It is a speed tune now..like they just want it to be over. A previous posting here mentions that Ed used to climb into the rafters during Even Flow. I doubt he'd have time to climb up a 6-foot ladder now...

Here you go guys and gals....popcorn is on me...
