I've been to 32 shows. Missed the Binaural Tour cause I was overseas from 1999 until 2001.

BUT I've seen 30 shows since beginning in 2003......

Here are my Binaual Stats. :x :( :x

12 total songs played and that includes stats from seeing EV 5 times.

This is a terrible set of stats that I hope Pearl Jam can correct. PLEASE PLAY MORE BINAURAL GOING FORWARD.

240965.jpg

Under NW is the # of times seeing the song live. So for Binaural I've only seen 6 of the 13 songs live.

To me the tragedy of Binaural is the tracks that they left off..i.e Sad, Fatal, In the Moonlight, Education. Four great songs that we could have used back in 2000.

Unbelievable that Sad and Fatal didn't make the cut.

Yeah, I support this thread. Please PJ, give us more of the beauty that is Binaural!

It is their best album. It frustrates the hell out of me that they don't see it and have expressed disappointment in it. The only thing disappointing about it is that it's about four songs too short! Blake did an incredible job! Go back and listen to Of the Girl. The vibe he captured on that is amazing. Always wished they'd recorded more of it using his binaural techniques instead of just 3 or 4 tracks.

The sound was great and the lyrics some of Ed's best. How could they be unhappy with Binaural and pleased with S/T and BS with their terrible "loud" production and BS's abysmal lyrics?

When Pearl Jam relocates their soul and intellect from the depths of this sleepy, lazy, disinterested, by-the-numbers, generic rock stupor they've stumbled into, they'll once again sound like the band that made Binaural.

Great album! The thing I find ironic is that the most frequently played song from this album has to be Insignificance. Insignificance (while a great song) has to be my least favorite song on the album. Pretty sure the only other songs besides Insignificance I've seen PJ perform live are Of The Girl and Breakerfall. Both at the same show! Come on PJ! Time to realize this might be some of your best work.

I love Binaural my third favorite album behind Vs and No Code, actually it changes with Yield often, but I do love Insignificance because it is the only song like it in their catalog, and it is easily a top 10 song for me, actually I like most of the album a lot

Breakerfall, rival and grievance all sound so much better live. Unfortunately the band doesn't seem to look back on this record too fondly whenever the topic comes up, so I only see binaural songs getting more and more rare as time goes by. :(

yeah cause they would rather play shit like Just Breathe :(
  • I wish they opened with Of the Girl more often and included Rival into the main set. How Fatal did not make this album is beyond me.

Binaural gets more threads such as this one than any other album, just the band for some reason doesn't like it, which is sad, and makes me question their current musical tastes

    It's my favorite
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • I've always thought it was unfortunate that they don't love the album as much as I always have. Seems like maybe the band wasn't in the best place as a group, and some weren't in the best place as individuals. I remember at the time thinking that the two-album run of Yield and Binaural was a creative peak. I enjoy all their albums, but still think Binaural is the best album from 2000 on... Thin Air...Of the Girl...Nothing As It Seems. Great record.

Each to their own, I guess. Just like Big Hank, Insignificance is also one of my top-10 PJ song. It somehow sounds very Pink-Floydish to me, one cut that could make to "The Wall".

Although I am not keen in politics, I occasionally take a sneak at A Moving Train just to see the "Bombs dropping down" thread.

Very unfortunate, really. Someone should convince the band that the fans are hungry for more Binaural.

I love this album! We need more Binaural and its outtakes.
    Sad, Fatal, Education...all great songs.

It's growing up just like me.
  • The album that started it all for me. Lucky to hear a few of the songs live but would like to hear more such as Light Years.

It seems that the band are not the only ones who could be neglecting this album - I just switched my IPod on to listen to Sleight Of Hand and the album ain't there. Lots of boots no Binaural! :fp:

Though not one of my fave albums, I absolutely love Binaural.
    The songs are great live.

One of the great things about Berlin 09 was that Binaural finally got some love. 'Nothing as it seems', 'Gods' dice' and 'Light years' were played, if my memory serves me right.
