Indifference71 wrote:Flight is booked. Staying with my buddy who lives in Culver City. Looks like the LA sports arena isn't too far away from there. Isn't there some sort of train that goes from Culvery City to near the arena? Are there any good bars/restaurants in the area that would be good to hit up before the show?
There's a metro station in Culver City on Venice and Robertson. Takes about 25 minutes to USC and downtown. For food in the CC area I'd recommend Akasha, Lukshon, Father's office for beer and burger, Public School 310, and Waterloo & City. If you do decide to go out in CC and then take the metro downtown, you will still have to drive (or a cab) to get to the metro. It's not exactly walking distance from downtown CC.How I choose to feel is how I am0 -

Hi fellow Angelenos,
The coffee shop Caffe Vita, which is a small chain from Seattle, opened up in Los Feliz across from the Vista earlier this year.
There's a photography exhibit up on their walls right now. Some cool pics mostly of Soundgarden from Lollapalooza in 96, but there's also some pictures of Eddie Vedder with The Ramones too.
Check it out.

What about a pre-show diner/drink at The Rainbow?
From there we can take a taxi to the venue.

The Rainbow that I believe you're talking about, is next to the Roxy in West Hollywood. http://www.rainbowbarandgrill.com/
It's a little bit of a trek from there to the venue. Depending on if there's an opener and how long the show runs, it might be cool to check out after the show since it's open until 2am. I've only been once and it wasn't all that spectacular but I understand the nostalgia if you're coming from out of town.0 -

I saw the documentary of about Lemmy of Motorhead and he's a regular.
But what you say, just a place you gotta go once for the nostalgia.
I'll probably be drinking there early before the show if there is no other pre-party option.
But a bar close to the venue sounds good as well!!2007: Nijmegen

Looking for 1 ticket to LA2. My buddy that is coming out from Chicago with me has to leave on Sunday. And since I'm staying until Monday, no way would I miss a PJ show.0
