    City Steam is a good place, too, but I think it's farther from the XL than Black Bear. Black Bear is nice and close to the XL. I will say City Steam has great beer.

    Yeah, Black Bear is the best place for the pre-party, geographically and crowd-wise.

    City steam is good for a pre pre party. They make their own beer there and it's pretty good and a chill location

    Well, I'm in. I booked my hotel in Hartford today. Usually don't do that, especially when I don't have tickets yet, but I will cross fingers for the lottery. If no dice with that, will try for public sale. I am certain I will get tix through TM when they go on sale. So, see you all in October. Gonna be a great night.

    I know man, the lottery strategy is a little confusing. But good luck to you all the same. Im staying at the Holiday Inn Express. Same place I stayed when I saw Eddie solo in 2011. They're parking lot is right behind the Black Bear Saloon which is right down the street from the Civic Center.

    First of all, I am dying from laughter at your avatar. :lol::lol::lol:

    I have to find a place to get a Whalers shirt/jersey. I have a hat but I think my head grew because it doesn't fit me anymore.

    Hopefully we can book Black Bear again for the pre-party. Two consecutive PJ related pre-parties have been there: Hartford 2010 and EVCT11. It is really close to the XL Center.
