Nope, there was an incident in 2008 too. A fence was torn down and people were stampeding out of the place. I approached a cop and asked if it was okay to walk through that area (since it would save me time to get to my car). She just shrugged so I thought it would be fine, and many other people who I spoke to later thought the same thing. But when we were all walking in the area we all started choking and realized that pepper spray must have been sprayed right before we got there. It was terrible! That type of thing used to be common at the Meadows. Place used to be crazy. Outside the venue tailgating, not matter the show, and inside the venue. In the 90's Wu-tang Clan & Rage played there and the fense got tore down and there were fires and shit. i already told my crazy story about the girl who died tailgating at the Radio 104 fest. Even at DMB concerts the Riot police came and shot rubber bullets and tear gas.SVRDhand13 wrote:

I was at both shows, I remember the commotion in 2008 (I took the 10c trolley back to the Hilton) but don't remember any pepper spray. Meadows security was never without incident. Thank god for the XL Center!0 -

City Steam is a good place, too, but I think it's farther from the XL than Black Bear. Black Bear is nice and close to the XL.
