Yes DonJon I have heard some dvd news...

Pearl Jam Is To release a special Anthology DVD With Never Before seen footage, spanning back to their earliest live shows. This 3 disc set will also offer exclusive Footage of the band in the studio, rehearsing for previous albums. It will feature interviews with band members, including ex-drummer Dave A, and fellow Temple of the Dog band mate Chris Cornell. It will chronicle the history of pearl jam.. the meteoric rise to fame, the political activisim, the ticketmaster battle, amoung many other things. The new set will be entitled "DVD Set Behind the Counter in an Indie Shop."

The packaging for the Set, although not yet finalized, will likely pay tribute to the classic rock greats of the 70's. The tentative plan involves similar packaging to Led Zeppelin's "In Through The Out Door". It will have 6 different covers, one for each current band member, as well as a full band shot. They will be sealed in Brown Paper, so the buyer will not know what he/she is getting until it is opened. as an added bonus, One out of every Thousand produced (for the initial pressing) will include a special, original piece of art (Poems From Eddie, Pictures taken by Jeff, etc) from a Pearl Jam band member.

The DVD is scheduled for release on May 1st, 2007 in the US, and May 21st 2007 in the UK and Canada.

But me thinks its full of shit

Why dont they just release the dvd's of each concert and put us out of our misery......I would lbve to see Newcastle.....especially Ed singing Hail Hail and seeing Mike smiling at me...:)
