Temple Of The Dog - bootlegs/fakes and original pressings?
I noticed that http://www.discogs.com/artist/Temple+Of+The+Dog lists many of the colored vinyl copies of TOTD as original/real pressings, while http://www.pjcollectors.com/category_related.asp?id=3 only lists four black vinyl pressings as "proper".
I usually trust Discogs, but this is a tough one. Can anybody shed some light on this? What's the deal?
I suspect that several of the pressings on Discogs should be listed in the unofficial category, but does anyone know for sure?
I just bought an expensive copy that as far as I've been able to tell is the real 1991 US pressing on black vinyl, but I won't relax completely until I've scrutinized it thoroughly at home.

If it's not black, and doesn't match any of the following above, then they are fakes.
So basically, pjcollectors.com is correct, then?
If this is the consensus, then it's strange that all those bootlegs are listed as official on Discogs, which usually is the authority on these things. Mayne a lot of people just want their copies to be real, and "make" them real that way?

http://www.pjcollectors.com/ is correct!
Many sellers who unload their goodies believe EVERYTHING is official, even if they don't do any research on the item before selling.
Haven't seen a picture disc TOTD vinyl.
TOTD must be one of the most bootlegged albums out there.
