Searched and could not find discussion of this,

Listening to Kev Smiths podcast Fatman on Batman and he reviewed Man of Steel. He talked at some length that Superman listens to a PJ song at some point, perhaps Jeremy judging by his humming of the song?

I have not seen the film so can't validate. Smith was complaining about using a song 20 years old. if its true I think it's pretty cool as I'm a fan of Superman and if he's a fan of the best band in the world then that's a nice new character development.

Can anyone back up Smiths observation as being correct about the use of PJ in the film?
Im not supersticious, Im just a littlesticious.

I know that Chris Cornell's "Seasons," used in "Singles," is in the movie.

Yah I'm guessing he got confused with Seasons. Kevin Smith has said in his podcasts that he's not a die hard music fan, so it wouldn't surprise me if got a bit mixed up on that.

edit: It does make sense to use a 20 year old song. I think they said Superman was 33 in the movie. Which means his formative years would of been the grunge ones :)

lol.. I've been using the Zod nickname on the internet since the late 90s. Most people didn't quite get the reference back then. Now everyone gets it.. It's so weird... lol. Is there a way to update my Avatar to the new Zod? :)

Terence Stamp is the real Zod.

Saw the movie this evening. Not great, not terrible. "Seasons" is one of three songs used in the movie and it gets a couple of verses, some pretty good play.

I really liked Man of Steel, but it seems to be a very devisive movie. People either really like it or really hate it. I really liked it.

You are correct. Terence Stamp is most definitely Zod. He had all the classic lines.

A little off topic (although it has to do with the film)...

But if you think that Hans Zimmer conducting 10 full drum kits in a room is rad...
