The design of the packaging is really great. Love where they put Jeff's letter. That purple looks really great on a white turntable too

I ordered mine from what records quite a while ago along with a few other items. They debited my account almost immediately. It says that my order has been "printed," whatever that means. However, it hasn't changed in the last 2 weeks. I emailed them to ask if they had an approximate ship date. No answer.

Anyone else having trouble with them?! I am starting to get a little worried.

Mine turned up a few days ago from them. Post is always slow around bank holidays though so yours could be caught up in that I guess.

Just to let all of you know that the mov label puts out some of the best quality pressings that you can get. I buy a lot of vinyl. And mov although not the original really makes up for it in quality. Not just the lp but everything down to the paper stock of the cover and the sleeves the records are housed in. Your not going to get much better. I would compare they're pressings to the 200 gram quality pressings that you can also order online. The cool thing about mov is that they are reissuing all of the good 90's Lps that are not very easy to come by. Also this mother love bone album that's being pressed was never pressed on vinyl with the EP and apple combined with this art work. Only on cd. It's going to be something you will not want to pass on. If u did not get the purple get the black vinyl as it will probably sound better anyways. Colored vinyl is not really vinyl and the weight is slightly different. It's a plastic of some kind. This MLB lp release is going to be cool with a 4 page insert and poster I personally can't wait to get this lp. Go get it!

You're thinking of picture discs that have plastic and sound like crap. Colored vinyl is no different than black as far as materials. Some sound better than black, some sound worse. Most sound exactly the same. It's really about the master/press rather than weight or color. I have some 140g that blow away the 180 or 200g poor remaster of the same album.

You're right that MOV is a cool company though. Most of their stuff is high quality. Mother Love Bone sounds really good. Definitely a must buy. Get this over Mad Season right now if you're on the fence. Mad Season had almost 10,000 pressed. MLB will probably be a lot less since the 1st press was only 1,500.

There's one coming into my local store that I've got my name against. They're expecting it on Friday. :)
Real Groovy are getting copies in? I'll believe it when I see it, and probably overpriced! Having said that, it probably cost me $65 to get it from What Records, so it probably will end up cheaper than that!
Not Real Groovy, Marbecks but it hasn't arrived yet.
Then I'd be even more sceptical. Good luck though, keep me posted! What are they charging you?

here's a quick unboxing i did on vine

Got mine today and while there's some bends in the packaging, everything looks good. I haven't spun it yet to see if the quality has been effected.

Playing it right now, sounds awesome :D On Crown Of Thorns at the moment, everything sounds great, but the drums are really standing out, so crisp and full - you'll have to excuse me getting excited over little things like that, I've just got my first turntable setup and I'm blown away by the quality and detail compared to the shitty mp3's I've shamfully been listening to for far too long!

I've got one coming from Real Groovy via the UK - they comfirmed that it was purple and would be 'around $50'
